A Strange Way to Fall in amor Chapter Seventeen
I was going to stay at the playa a little longer. I wanted to sit out here and think in peacefulness of the ocean. It was nice to be out here por myself. But, I had been por myself for years. Well, except for Mark being por my side during the years in the army. I had no idea what to do now that I was back in the states. The army was my career and pretty much the only thing I knew.
"Hey Kyle," Lola said, "whatcha still doing here?"
"Just thinking," I said.
"They must be pretty important! tu have been sitting here for a while," she stated, "trying to think if tu should put a ring on your girlfriend's finger?"
Lola started laughing after what she just said.
"No, not that! I have been way too busy to date," I dicho laughing a little.
"Ahh, I would have thought tu would had settled down por now," she said, "with a couple of kids and in some nice neighborhood!"
"Why would tu think," I asked.
"You just seemed like the type of guy that would have a family por now," she shrugged.
"Me," I asked laughing, "I have been over seas numerous amount of times! I could not leave a family behind to go fight that many times."
"Oh okay," she dicho as she sat down beside me.
"Just oh okay," I asked, "that is all?"
"Yep," Lola dicho as she stared out at sea, "have tu ever gotten hurt over there?"
"Once," I said, "but nothing serious!"
"Oh neat," she dicho as I looked her oddly, "well, not neat! But, that is good tu did not get hurt too bad!"
"Yeah, I like my job; I think I will keep it," I dicho smiling, "but what are tu still doing here?"
"I was taking a walk on the beach," she said, "I amor this place. It's like I belong here!"
"That's good that tu have something tu love," I said.
"Why are tu still in your uniform," she asked curiously.
"I have not gotten a chance to change out of it," I said, "I wear this uniform everyday that I forget to change out of it when I come back home!"
"That is funny," she dicho laughing.
"So, what have tu been up to all these years I have been gone," I asked.
"Eh, tu know most of it," she shrugged, "basically fighting for my life and putting those people in jail."
"I am sorry," I said, "I wish I could have been here and that would have never happened!"
"It would have happened if tu were here," she stated, "it's whatever now! Do tu ever have nightmares about your job o whatever tu call it?"
"Sometimes, but not very much," I stated, "do tu every have nightmares about everything that has happened to you?"
"Honestly," she dicho as she looked over me, "every night. I try and stay up as long as possible and wake up as early as possible. I relive everything that has every happened to me every night."
"Does it still scare you," I asked curiously.
"Every time, tu think after living it once and dreaming about for año o so, tu would know what is coming. But, I don't," she said.
"Have tu told Horatio," I asked.
"No, I have not," Lola said, "and I am not going too! Him and everyone else at his department have tried to get me to talk to anyone about everything. But, I do not need someone telling me how to get rid of nightmares. Besides, it probably would not help at all!"
"Oh," I said.
"Don't strain your voice too much," she dicho laughing.
"Sorry, I just keep thinking what if," I stated.
"It is the past," she dicho as she paused, "it is a, whatever?"
"Okay," I dicho with a bit of laughter.
"Are tu going back over seas o are tu here for good," Lola asked.
"I am not sure," I stated, "I think I need to do a couple of más tours. The army is all I know! I know Mark will try and get a job on base in the states. On the count that he is going to get married soon!"
"Is he your age," she asked curiously.
"Yep," I said.
"Wow, to get married at your age o a año o two older than me," she dicho stunned.
"I guess, I see what Mark has and all I can think about it having that too," I said, "I want it so bad!"
"Really," she dicho as it came out in a laugh.
"What," I asked confused, "is it bad to say I want a girlfriend? I want someone to amor me?"
"No, not at all," Lola said, "I have been trying way to hard to get people to amor me! And look what has all happened to me!"
"Everything that has happened to tu is not because tu are looking for someone to love," I stated, "You Lola, have the worst luck I have ever seen!"

"Lola," someone called out.
"Seriously," she groaned, "I guess Horatio has sent out a crew to come find me!"
"Why would he do that," I asked confused.
"Because, he thinks I am suicidal! And I promise I am not," Lola said, "I have good job coming my way! I have been adopted por someone who should have adopted me a long time ago! But better late then never!"
"Right," I dicho as someone interrupted me.
"Lola," a man asked.
"Hello Robert," she dicho with dread in her voice, "I am okay! No need to panic, tu know!"
"Well, Horatio is worried about you," Robert said, "and tu should not be talking to strangers!"
"Robert, this is Kyle! He is not a stranger," I said, "now mostrar some respect to him!"
"Sorry, I am Robert," the man said, "thank tu for all tu do!"
"It is alright," I said, "no problem!"
"Come on Lola, Horatio wants tu home!"
"Fine," she grumbled, "bye Kyle! See tu later!"
