Singer Taylor rápido, swift marked her 24th birthday on Friday (13Dec13) por offering up a $100,000 (£66,700) donation to officials at the Nashville Symphony in Tennessee.

Bosses in charge of the city orchestra have struggled with financial issues all year, so the generous I Knew tu Were Trouble hitmaker decided to hand over an early navidad gift.

A representative for the Nashville Symphony confirmed the news on the group's Twitter.com page on Friday (13Dec13), writing, "We are profoundly grateful for @TaylorSwift13's donation. Thank you, Taylor, for supporting musicians & música in MusicCity! Happy Birthday!"

The charitable gesture is not the first for the singer - in 2012, she pledged $4 million (£2.6 million) to the Country música Hall of Fame, and in October (13), the Taylor rápido, swift Education Center in Nashville opened as a result of the donation.

Prince William performs with Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift

Prince William channelled his inner musical talents por hitting the stage with Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor rápido, swift during a charity event on Tuesday (26Nov13).

The British royal hosted the Winter Whites Gala in Aid of Centrepoint at Kensington Palace to raise cash for homelessness.

rápido, swift and the rocker were invited to perform at the star-studded event, and the Prince surprised guests por joining the singers on stage for a performance of Bon Jovi's hit Livin' On A Prayer.

Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery, Oscar winner Colin Firth, and James Blunt also attended the royal event, and Jon Bon Jovi was presented with the Centrepoint Great Britain Youth Inspiration Award for his humanitarian work.
