Zayn Malik\'s Billboard magazine interview\'s caused a bit of a stir, hasn\'t it? Half the fandom\'s struggling to cope with how frickin\' fit he looks in the shoot, the other half\'s a bit pissed off over his not-quite-complimentary One Direction comments. Y\'know, what with him saying he \'reached out\' to Liam, Harry, Louis and Niall with no reply and stuff?

Well now Liam Payne\'s sister Ruth\'s WADED IN on the whole debacle; successfully slaying Zayn without actually shading him. Like, we\'d go as far as to say she called him out; just not in a nasty way.

Basically she reckons he doesn\'t need to diss the 1D boys to get ahead and should just focus on his \'talent alone.\' Fair play.

Taking to Twitter as the #ZaynOnBillboard discussion escalated, Ruth said: "ur talent alone would get you through , not the news paper collumns ..." [sic], before adding: "Not a dig in the slightest, not sure when the interview was done, just need him to remember like liam, watever happens next those 5 boys...Are some of the most talented boys i know xxx" [sic].

If we can just ignore the fact it\'s quite badly worded and not exactly grammar goals, Ruth\'s probably got a point. Oh, and she also confirmed Ziam still communicate; replying "yes :-) x" when someone asked if they chat.

We didn\'t even realise :-) was a thing in 2016, but there you go.
