End of Chapter 33
***Edward's POV***
"Carlisle," Aro said, his voice breaking into my conversation with Alice. "My old friend, tu all look so nervous."
"We are nervous Aro." Carlisle said, knowing that lies would not be tolerated.
Aro stepped closer to Carlisle, holding one hand out for Carlisle to take. Carlisle knew that if he grabbed his hand that Aro would know everything that Carlisle had done since he left the Volturi. Carlisle took a deep breath before he stepped forward, his right hand offered out in front of him. Aro closed his eyes as he grasped Carlisle's hand and found out our entire past. Everything from when he found and turned me, to the look in Bella's eyes when he told her that the Volturi had me and that they were coming here to find me.
Aro laughed as he stepped back and looked at me, then back to my family. I had seen everything he had and knew that now Aro knew all about what he had felt/gone through to get Bella back..and what we would all do to keep her safe.
Chapter 34
***Emmett's POV***
"How very interesting." Aro dicho as he released Carlisle's hand and took a step back, his guard moving up closer around him. "You're all very.....attached to Bella."
Our entire family moved as one, tightening up the circulo, círculo that we had formed around Bella. We all could feel the tension in the room, the guard must have felt something too because most of them left their posts, most of them moving up to flank Aro while others went to stand around Caius and Marcus.
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves." Aro sighed as he looked around. "Hmmmm what can I do to put tu all at ease? Oh...Felix?"
"Yes?" Felix called from the other side of the large room where he stood guarding Edward.
"Why don't we allow Edward to registrarse the rest of his family?"
Felix watched Aro for a segundo before reaching up and shoving Edward hard on the back. I thought he was going to stumble..but Edward must have known it was going to happen because he moved adelante, hacia adelante at the same time that Felix pushed because the push made Edward mover almost the entire distance to our family.
I was soooooo ready to rush Felix, to finally have a chance to puñetazo, ponche that smile off of his face. I started to mover adelante, hacia adelante when two things happened at the same time..
1) Rosalie reached out and grabbed my arm, her fingers flexed around my bicep.
2) Edward heard my thought and laughed as he walked back, catching my eyes as he shook his head back and forth..letting me know not to do it..yet.
I sighed loudly and did my best not to pout as I relaxed, Rosalie's hand relaxing as it slid down my arm and her fingers wrapped around mine. I smiled at her before I turned and looked back at Felix who winked at Rosalie.
"That's it!" I yelled as I let go of Rosalie's hand and tried to charge at Felix. Carlisle, Jasper and Edward were all there, grabbing my arms and somehow wrestling me to the ground.
"Wait. EMMETT listen to me!" Edward yelled as he moved so he could look into my face. "This is what they want...they want us to start the fight so they can kill us all. Wait and I promise tu tu will get your chance at Felix. Please wait."
"Emmett," Carlisle sighed siguiente to my ear. "Think of the girls. Look at them!" He dicho as he pushed my head to the side making me look at the three women who had automatically moved so that they were blocking Bella as best they could. Rosalie's body lowered in anticipation.
"It's ok." Edward dicho as he sat up, releasing my arms. "He's calmer now. Emmett don't let them tempt you...this is not the last time they will try."
"The last?" I asked...wanting to ask más but Edward shook his head and turned so that he could see where Aro, Caius and Marcus were standing.
"I think it would be best for everyone if we took a short break. Demetri..." Aro dicho as he turned to face the large sulking man in the back. "Could tu mostrar our guests to a más private place for their reunion?"
"Yes master." He dicho as he bowed and turned to face our family.
"Oh, Carlisle." Aro dicho as he held up one hand in our direction. "We have truly missed you, and hope to talk más after we have all...calmed down."
"I do also Aro, it's been too long." Carlisle replied as he turned back and nodded at Aro.
Demetri moved quickly to the doors, looking back twice over his shoulder at the corner he had been standing in..as if he were looking for someone o something. He sighed loudly as he looked back one más time before moving to lead us out of the room..leading us away from the Volturi..for now.
