I love both, cuz it's all Him. From hints at Jesus' first coming in the Old Testament, to His birth, life, then death plus resurrection in the New Testament. Even He post-resurrection is beautiful to know. But, the death/resurrection of Christ means the most, since He went thru so much just to cover our sins, thus saving us as we accept Him into our hearts.

Well if He had not have been born to flesh on earth none of those miracles of hope that warm the heart would have happened nor the rising again from transcending death...so yeah~ Love the Spirit of Christmas!!

Jesus was incarnate with his birth to become man. Through his life we have learned to live and to know that following him has a cost most people aren't willing to pay. In fact Jesus told us there would be a cost. But that cost is only for this earthly life. Prior to Jesus' crucifixion man had to come to God and make blood sacrifices as penitence for his sin. The crucifixion was God's sacrifice for our sin. Instead of God having to accept our sacrifices for our sin, man now has to accept God' sacrifice for our sin. Prior to Jesus man had to come to God. After the crucifixion God came to man. We either accept him or we don't! Jesus was born to fulfill a mission. His death and resurrection is the successful completion of that mission.
