“It’s About Time”
Chapter Nine


    Cuddy had only talked with Jacob’s dad for a couple of minutos before she was sure that what had happened was all just a big mix-up. In fact, if blame had to be dado it would fall also on Jacob’s mother’s shoulders. The father had expected the mom to pick up Jacob only 30 minutos after he had left Jacob sleeping peacefully in his bed. The next-door neighbor had left earlier...

Some months go por and Lisa is huge. She is eight months pregnant and her belly now is really, really big. One morning they wake up. She doesn't have to go to work and House has taken a few days off to take care of her.
He opens his eyes and yawns. ‘Hey... how are you?’
‘I feel good. Like last days, about to explode.’ She chuckles. ‘No, seriously, I'm good. And how are you?’
‘I'm fine... anxious to see our son's face...’
‘We just have to wait a couple of weeks for that.’
House smiles at her. ‘I amor you...’
They are still lying on cama and she holds his hand. ‘I amor tu too.’...

A couple of months goes por and his leg is getting better. He wakes up and Lisa is still asleep. Greg stares at her belly and smiles. He hugs her and then thinks of their baby. Cuddy opens her eyes and smiles.
‘Morning. I’m huge, uh?’ Today they’ll know if they are having a boy o a little girl. ‘Are tu coming with me later?’
‘Of course, I'm not gonna leave my little ballena alone...’ House smirks.
‘I don’t like that nickname…’ She says serious. ‘Wow, aren’t tu a bit nervous? What do tu think we’ll have?’
‘Hmmm... I think we'll have a boy, I had a hunch!!’
‘And...

‘Morning...’ Says House the siguiente day.
‘Hi… how are you?’
‘Fine... and you? tu fell más peaceful this morning?’
‘Ha-ha... yes, thank you.’
‘Good...’ He chuckles and they sit up.
‘Are tu hungry? We have some cake left...’ Lisa says.
‘Will the cake change your mood?’
‘It will change my hunger.’

They go to the cocina in silence and have breakfast. His leg is starting to hurt and House rubs his thigh with his hand but he doesn't say anything. Cuddy notices it and asks worried. ‘Are tu okay?’
‘Yeah... fine...’ House respuestas smiling at her. MEEEEEC!!! Lie
‘You...

In the morning, Lisa wakes up early and goes to the room where Greg is sleeping, he opens his eyes slowly and sees her. Cuddy lies on cama siguiente to him. ‘How do tu feel?’
‘Better. I haven't slept very well, though...’
‘Does your leg hurt less?’
‘It hurts the same... but my body's starting to feel better...’
She nods. ‘That’s good. I’m so proud of you.’
‘I haven't done anything yet... this is just the beginning... I could disappoint tu tomorrow... I'm not as strong as tu may think.’
‘I know how tu are, I know that tu can do this, and I know why you’re doing this.’...

siguiente día Lisa goes to pick him up and they get to the hospital. ‘Well, I have to work, so go to annoy your team o something...’ She approaches a bit to kiss him on his cheek but then realizes that they are in the hospital and separates from him again. They smile and she goes to her office, whilst House goes to Wilson's office.


House opens the door and sits down on the sofa. Wilson looks at him surprised and then at his watch.
‘House? What are tu doing here? On time?’
‘Yeah... couldn't sleep.’
‘Yeah sure... Does this have to do with Cuddy?’
‘Why do tu think something like that?’...

Finally, Rachel’s birthday had come. It was held on a Friday afternoon at Cuddy’s family house and was celebrated with only a few friends Cuddy’s close with, most of them were from Michigan alone since the ones from Jersey can’t come aside from Wilson. Her parents had gotten back a día before. The good news is that, her parents, Audrey and Stephen liked House that good enough. In fact, her father and her “lover” shared a bottle of whisky the night before the party.
