Avira didn’t know whether to yell o cry when she heard Misty and her father talking about moving so they could start anew. It would be hard to convince the town that a family that’s been dead for three years can suddenly come back.
Avira had seen Seth take off after he heard it and she knew why; Misty would be leaving him, she would be leaving them all and Evan...She refused to think about him which of course was impossible because her thoughts always revolved around him.
“You know I amor tu right?” Evan asked stroking Avira’s long hair. They were at the beach, the summer holidays had just started and they were young, in amor and ready to have fun.
“Yeah I amor you, I always have” Avira replied instantly then sat up to look into his eyes, they looked distant, afraid somehow.
“Why do tu ask?” she has asked quickly. He stopped stroking her hair and looked away. She knew what was to come.
“Who is it going to be?” she asked straight away sitting up fully and grabbing his face so he had to look at her.
“Me” he whispered and closed his eyes allowing tears to slide down his cheeks.
“No, that’s not possible, are tu sure? Maybe it’s someone who looks like you, tu know everyone has a twin out there somewhere.” Avira babbled trying to convince herself. Evan had small premonitions they told tu who was going to die; not when o how.
“Avira it’s my turn to die, there is no way to stop it. I amor tu but I have to go I can’t but tu through this. It’s too much, tu have been through too much” He stood up and began to walk away. Avira reached out and grabbed his wrist tears were already flowing down her face.
“You're not leaving me” she hissed through gritted teeth. Then she stared up at him, defiantly.
“Your coming with me” she insisted and pulled him towards her house.
“Babe tu can’t stop it, it’s going to happen” Evan whispered following her anyway.
“If today is your last day, o if it’s your last week, I am never letting tu go even if it means me dying with you, your everything Evan, you’re the reason I even get up in the morning and smile and laugh, I can’t live without you” Avira told him then led him up to her room. Her parents weren’t inicial and they wouldn’t be for hours she was going to prove to him how much she loved him.
Evan tried to protest saying that she could live without him but she shut him up with kisses and soon they were in cama lying in each other’s arms. Avira spoke about their future trying to convince not only him but herself that it was possible.
“We’re going to get married and adopt six kids we’ll have a house right on the beach” she kept repeating it until they both fell asleep.
Avira woke up hours later with a note on the almohada siguiente to her.

He never came back. His parents were going to drop him off when their car got hit por a truck. It was all her fault. Avira broke out of her memory and punched her wall. She was mad and hurt and oh god she had killed him. She ran to the closet and pulled out a box. In it was everything of Evan’s that didn’t fit on the muro including the note.
“You never came back” she screamed at it then she was being pulled back into an embrace, she fought for a while then broke down. The familiar stroking of her hair made her cry harder.
“I did come back, just three years late” Evan whispered then kissed her.

Onyx flicked through his DVD’s while Misty made the popcorn.
“Can we melt the chocolate Onyx?” Misty asked from the cocina door. He smiled.
“Let me guess tu want to dip the palomitas de maiz, palomitas de maíz in it?” he questioned picking up the movie Underworld. He heard her laugh.
“No I want to pour the chocolate over the palomitas de maiz, palomitas de maíz so can I?” Onyx laughed this is what he missed their hang-out nights.
“Yeah sure” he replied and put on the DVD.
Their hang-out nights had started over five years ago. Onyx had asked Misty over for a night so they could hang out and get to know one another. He hadn’t known that Misty had never been to another person’s house before; so because she was so nervous. Misty had refused to eat té and as they were watching their first movie Misty’s stomach had growled so loud it had made Onyx jump which then made him laugh, which had made her cry.
“I’m so sorry” She sobbed then leaned away from him. Her white skin had turned beet red.
“it’s ok, tu need to eat” Onyx informed her then got up to make the palomitas de maiz, palomitas de maíz then on a tray he put chocolate, salt & vinegar chips and araña drinks then he placed it on the coffee table. Misty had smiled gratefully and had grabbed a piece of chocolate and palomitas de maiz, palomitas de maíz and eaten it together. They laughed and joked after that.
“Hey Onyx tu going to press play?” Misty asked breaking him out of his remembrance.
“Yeah sorry was just thinking about our first hang-out night” He watched his best- friend go bright red and laugh.
“Mmmm chocolate and popcorn, my favourite” she giggled and threw a piece at him. It was still warm which he caught in his mouth.
“I’m going to miss this” he whispered suddenly upset Misty looked at him quizzically then her face showed recognition.
“How do tu know about that?” She asked, tears filling her eyes.
“Avira told me, she and Seth overheard” Misty wiped her eyes and leaned into him.
“It might not happen” she whispered and they settled back to watch the movie. They avoided talk about leaving and the coming battle they only spoke of the good memories and their friendship. They had fun laughing and joking. Onyx wouldn’t let Misty go, he loved her like the sister he never got to have.

Talia watched the news not really seeing o hearing it, she was distracted. The training had gone well today por the end of it Talia had managed to break Misty’s force-field for a few seconds, she’d spoken to Onyx and had heard Avira telling Onyx about the convocations he had heard between Misty and her dad. Apparently Seth had taken off after hearing it.
She remembered back to before Mum and Dad had gotten a divorce, back to when Seth was happier, less sarcastic, he was himself; well around her anyway.
“One día I’m going to grow up and fall in amor and have children” Seth was saying as he pushed her on the swing. Talia had giggled and said.
“You sound like a girl” He laughed and stopped pushing her both of their smiles faded.
There was a smash from inside the house then Talia heard her parents shouting. No one else’s parents fought, Talia knew, she had asked her friends.
“I will never fight with my wife I’ll always stay with her, even if it means leaving with her to wherever she goes “Seth stubbornly promised and Talia had believed him.
“Hey baby how was your day?” Talia’s mum asked as she planted a kiss on her forehead.
“It was ok, we went to the playa and put a wreath in the ocean for Ms. Watts” Talia told her which is what she had done after everyone had gone their separate ways.
“How lovely, that poor woman” Talia heard her mother mutter as she walked into the kitchen.
“Where is your brother?” She asked just as Seth walked through the door.
“Hi mum sorry was walking Misty home” he lied then kissed her on the cheek. Talia saw her mum smile.
“When am I going to meet this lovely Misty?” She asked which made Seth stop. Only Talia could see the pain flash across his face.
“Not sure mum” he answered then under his breath he added as he walked up the stairs.
“Never if things go the way it’s going” Talia looked at her mum and shrugged this was Seth when he was upset.

Seth walked up the stairs silently cursing himself he was so mad. He didn’t know who at. It wasn’t Misty’s fault that her whole family had been taken away from her and that in order to be with them she would have to leave but what about him. Didn’t she amor him enough to stay? Couldn’t she at least think about it before she makes a decision?
She had looked like a goddess warrior today. Her scarred white skin had gleamed with power and the determination in her face had been breath taking. But what if she left?
His anger boiled over and he punched the muro small blisters appeared in the paint as well as a big hole. Apparently when your fuego and tu get mad tu can melt paint.
He could hear Talia running up the stairs so he went to his window and jumped out. segundos later he was running as fast and as far away as he could.
It wasn’t fair how come life was so cruel? Suddenly he stopped he was at the playa near the school. His skin had a layer o perspiration over it and he was breathing heavily.
The water looked dark and ominous with the only other colour other than black was a break of white when the waves hit the bank.
He took off his shoes and parte superior, arriba then paloma in.
He swam out his anger, his frustrations then finally with nothing left but sadness he collapsed upon the shore.
“You know your gorgeous like that?” he heard a familiar voice say from above Misty was standing over him looking down with a sad smile.
“Too tired for a race?” she asked stripping off her chaqueta and pants to reveal a bikini with patterns of red, naranja and yellow just like flames. Seth smiled grimly.
“I bought it, matches the fuego in me huh?” She asked making him laugh.
“Don’t tu mean it matches the guy your leaving behind?” she flinched and looked away suddenly the wind began to blow stronger. Seth watched as her hair turned white and she tightened her fists then she looked at him with anger in her eyes, even if tu couldn’t see the pupils.
“Who dicho I’m leaving?” she yelled then hit her thighs his sudden anger left him but what returned was his fury.
“You and your father did! Don’t tu think we wouldn’t know, you’re leaving everything” she did it so suddenly, that Seth had not time to put up a force-field, Misty’s fist connected with his jaw and sent him flying twenty feet away.
“do tu have any idea what it’s like to lose your whole family then be tortured for three years por a perra who couldn’t handle her temper led alone her liquor then realising that your family have become reapers but that tu can at least see them again” Misty’s body shook but Seth didn’t care he was mad too.
“No I don’t but I do know what it’s like for your family to be broken apart because of violence” his jaw throbbed but he stood up and walked over to Misty.
“Do tu know what it’s like for your boyfriend to be mad at you, your father to be disappointed in tu and your best friend to feel sorry for you?” she screamed and punched him again Seth let her hit him again he went down.
“Do tu know what it’s like knowing apart of your heart, your very soul is leaving tu behind?” he whispered sitting up and letting his corazón beat calm down.

Misty sat down too. She took a deep breath then spoke through gritted teeth.
“Your apart of my corazón and my soul too, but that doesn’t give tu the right to be mad at me if I choose to leave it isn’t your decision to make” Seth stood up and sent flames at a tree.
“Well obviously tu have made your decision, and I’m not a part of it, excuse me for assuming I meant something to you” he dicho sarcastically then walked away.
“You do mean something to me Seth but family comes first. Let me think about this please” Misty begged suddenly too tired to yell, o scream.
“Whatever” Seth growled and walked away his clothes in his arms.
Misty put back on her clothes then broke down into tears. She couldn’t choose between them. It was either her family o her segundo family.
Evan had come inicial one afternoon just after summer had started and had gone to his room to pack some clothes. He was to stay at his girlfriend’s house. Misty barely knew her even though they had been dating for the past two years. Misty avoided her because everyone made fun of her eyes and she knew that Evan loved her so she didn’t want them to break up over her. Nursing her arm which was still in a cast Misty walked into Evans room and spoke to him about her día which made her cry people were picking on her again.
“Misty, I amor you, you’re the best little sister I could ever have asked for and your más beautiful than tu know. One día everyone is going to see tu for who tu are and tu will mostrar them all.” Evan predicted making her smiled Evan was always right.
“Evan did tu want a ride to Avira’s, we want to take Misty out for helado and it’s on the way” Misty’s mum asked from the door. She had Red hair just like Misty’s and was really tall.
“Sure mum” Evan replied then grabbed his bag and picked up Misty.
“Let’s go, tu know Avira wants to see you, tu always hide” Evan comentó Misty just smile shyly she wouldn’t hurt Evans feelings.
“I amor tu big brother, but tu do know I am fourteen and I can walk even if I broke my arm.” Evan laughed and put her down.
“You're so small little sis that it’s easy to pick tu up” Misty giggled and ran to the car getting in the middle so she could lean adelante, hacia adelante and choose the music.
They were driving past the traffic lights when they heard the Truck honk its horn but it was too late it smashed into Mum and Evan’s side causing the car to roll. Misty looked around her and screamed. Evan was covered in blood upside down and Misty had never hurt so much in her life but she ignored it and yelled for her brother to wake up.
“Misty are tu ok?” Avira asked snapping her out of her memories. Misty wiped her tears and stood up.
“I’m fine just tired and stressed tu know?” Avira nodded but didn’t look convinced.
“It was my fault tu know? I distracted them while changing a song. It’s my fault they didn’t see the truck, and Evan was he was-“ Misty’s voice broke but she tried again.
“He knew something was up didn’t he? That’s why he was saying all that stuff before we got into the car” Avira nodded
“Did tu want to skip school?” She asked indicating the kids walking into the school grounds behind them.
“No we better go in” Misty whispered and wiped her eyes again then started walking.
