Wilmington’s film scene is not dead. Just a little Goth.

SoGoPro, as the producers and fans sometimes call it, is owned por former “One árbol Hill” actress Hilarie Burton, producer Kelly Tenney and writer Nicholas Gray.

At the end of May, their four-month-old blog (southerngothicproductions.blogspot.com) spun off a full-fledged Web site, www.SoGoPro.com that will be used to launch new projects including a podcast, webisodes, short films and even a feature film.

The team just filmed a webisode called “Friendship Community Theatre” over the Memorial día break.

To get any kind of information about a film, one usually has to go through a production company, an agent, a publicist o two and maybe even an assistant to whomever tu need to talk with.

The voice of Denise Gideon comes through loud and clear as she interviews aparejo, burton and business partners Kelly Tenney and Nick Gray. Although they sound like they are speaking on a party line o an office speaker phone, the podcast has a nice, conversational feel.

Even then, the chances of getting all your preguntas answered often hinge on whether any of these people had their morning capuchino (in New York)...
