Zac Efron hardly sang during the whole movie, only during the beginning of Start of Something New and the start of Breaking Free, and the little solo he sang on Gabriella's balcony, the rest was sung by some guy named Drew something or other. I still think Troy's character sounds better.

Zac Efron's an actor, Lucas was always a singer first, he's far better at both, and imo, has the better personality and is wayy cuter.

Ryan as he actually sang all the songs. Zack did not as his voice wasn't up to par at the time in HSM1. Saw Zack on an interview admitting it.

Zac Efron didn't sing in the first movie,Drew Seeley did.So,in the first movie,Ryan is better.I think it was because Zac's voice wasn't good enough yet.But in the other two movies and Hairspray it's he who sings and not someone else.So,Zac's voice is better than Ryan's,in my opinion.
