No comp. the books were way better. The movies were good as long as you didn't read the books. They left a lot out!

The movies are great but the books are where it all started

Books let you imagine all the details. You dream about it at the same time as you're reading it.

You can slip into the world of Harry Potter by imagining it yourselves (i guess u could through the movies too) but its just not the same, theres alot more detail and the movies are great too!

I have yet to read the other books. I read the 1st one, and I remember having the 2nd one but I either lost it or gave it away since I was eight when I had it and wasn't interested....

So I can only enjoy the movies, but that's fine with me.

Reading the books lets you feel like you are actually there with the characters. Also, b/c it's your imagination, it's like your in this whole world made by you, and films can never live up to that.

i love both but the books give you the whole story and really grip your attention no matter what the story is the book is almost always better

Don't get me wrong; the movies are epic, but they sometimes leave stuff out that should be put in.

No contest: the books. It's so blatantly clear that the books are better. I mean, you would really only pick the movies if you haven't read the books, in which case, you really should, since they're so much better...

but i love the movies too :)

I read all the books and loved them but being able to throw a movie in as often as I want or to sit and watch the all the movies in a row if I want is the best. everyone should experience the complete Potter series of books they give much more then the movies ever can.

books r amazing but the movies cuz i can watch draco!! :D lol n i love their acting the characters n its more lively :) but i love harry potter doesnt matter if its book or movies
