Close your eyes through your entire practice session. Do not picture your way around the fretboard, hear your way around it.
Hear yourself to the siguiente note, to the next, chord, to the siguiente scale. It should be a relaxed exercise, not a strained one. Like when you're at a distance from a battery powered clock.
If tu strain to listen to its tick tu cant hear it but when tu relax and allow it to come to you, tu can hear it clearly.
