Having Trouble in God of War 2

In God of War 2, there is a section in the game that I having trouble were I need to get the ashes of the phoenix. I have go through a room where I need to stop time and get through the room have the ramp the mover the door down but its time because the spikes will kill me. I was wondering is there is easier way to get to the gate in time..
