The live-action/CGI Alvin and the Chipmunks film franchise is an adaptation of Ross Bagdasarian's Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. Ross Bagdasarian's son, Ross Bagdasarian Jr., and his wife, Janice Karman, worked on the films. There were four films in the franchise: 2007's Alvin and the Chipmunks (directed por Tim Hill), 2009's Squeakquel (directed por Betty Thomas), 2011's Chipwrecked (directed por Mike Mitchell) and 2015's The Road Chip (directed por Walt Becker).
