pandawinx This is just ridiculous. If your case was worth arguing, you wouldn't need to cannibalise someone like that. It's creepy. Really, really creepy. XD What really annoyed me about this photo is that Anderson is a smart woman. They could have her talk about the issues in a intellegent way but Peta has this rule for all their celebrity campaigners: "Does it have boobs? Ok, just make it look like a horny animal and we'll win people over that way." O.o Now, i've expressed a mutual attitude to pronography/erotic photohgraphy, i don't think it's sexist as such, but i think some of the content CAN be. This is a good example.

xXxDracoxXx I completely understand the point of your argument. I think Peta was trying to send a message that eating meat is a horrible thing; that eating animal meat is like eating human meat because we all have the same parts. Some where along this ad things probably got misconstrued. Maybe, it was the way she was posing or the undergarments she was using. Whatever the case may be, I think the message was a positive one, it just got handled the wrong way. It could also be a form of satire. It could be trying to show how ridiculous marking a person up like that is, to make people think "Wow, that's true. Maybe I should think twice about eating this cow meat." I'm not sure what they where trying to get at. Peta is known for doing "out there" things to get their point across, just like some other activists are. I actually would like to hear more on your, or other peoples, views to get a better understanding of the ad. It would be a good reality check on the sexism. :)
