Face To Face
CC entered the room with Private. The others were preparing to set out. She handed the device to Kowalski who replied with “Oh, I was wondering where I put that”. He probably already KNEW where it was, but the chance of a little conversation with CC arose. “CC, tu don’t have to come if tu don’t want to. I understand it will be hard for tu to do, tracking down your friend…” He spoke with a degree of concern in his voice as well as sympathy which CC immediately picked up on but she took little notice. “It’s ok Kowalski, if I can convince Skipper, we may not even HAVE to go” She smiled, trying to mostrar that she wasn’t upset about the topic. Kowalski wasn’t very good at picking out the tone and meaning behind what people said, for he only heard the words they spoke. His intellect and science work was considered to be far más important, but even he managed to detect it. “Sorry CC, but I don’t think that’s possible. Once Skipper has his mind set on something, it’s almost impossible to stop him. Especially if there’s the chance of violence to be had” CC couldn’t deny it, what Kowalski dicho was true, but she simply had to try. For the sake of Bandit, for the sake of Rune. Bandit was like an auntie to Rune, she always found the time to look after her when CC went out on a mission so CC couldn’t help but argue the point. “Thanks Kowalski, but I have to try.” Her voice trembled slightly at the thought of confronting Skipper, the one who had trained her, taught her all the moves, gave her a home…
Skipper was cargando... a rocket launcher when CC spoke to him. He paid little attention to her and Rune’s desperate pleas for mercy on Bandit and MS. Skipper, suddenly realised what was being dicho and snapped back at them “And what makes tu qualified to tell me what to do!? All robots are evil and dangerous, especially if it’s a clone of me!” Skipper glared at them for a few minutos before returning to the launcher. Private, Kowalski and even Rico who was having his dinner, stopped and stared, gawping at his temper. Rune began to cry and ran to Private for comforting. CC too, began to get teary. “Is that it? Is that the reason you’re going to hunt down Bandit and MS? Because you’re scared of yourself?” CC spoke somewhat accusingly. Skipper lowered his head, turned to face her and dicho “I’m just doing what’s right. That robot doesn’t belong in this world because he has no life. He’s just a copy. I’m doing this, to protect the good citizens of New York and my team” He pointed a flipper to the others, then to CC. “And tu two”.
CC felt guilty, giving Skipper flak about the whole topic. All he wanted was to protect them and prevent attack, but nevertheless, CC persisted. "But I can guarantee that he isn't a threat! Bandit is a ninja for crying out loud, I'm sure she can handle it!" CC spoke the truth o as far as they believe the truth. Bandit claimed to be training in the art of ninjitsu, kung-fu and self-defence as well as karate. Whether this was actually true o just a threat/warning from Bandit, was yet to be discovered but for now, they all believed it. Partly because Bandit can give quite a nasty puñetazo, ponche when she wants to. Rico found that out when she first arrived…

Back in the city, Bandit was leading MS to a hideout she visited every now and then on the beams and rafters of an old church. She liked visiting the church, especially on Saturdays and Sundays as this was when the choir practiced. Sometimes, the practice was cancelled for a funeral so Bandit didn't arrive on those days. Sitting on the beams, listening to the soothing harmony of the choir o watching in admiration, a wedding take place. She climbed the large wooden cruzar, cruz at the front of the church and from there, leaped onto a beam. MS simply watched in amazement as she moved around the beams, silently like a ghost… o a Ninja…
