It's a neat idea, but I'm with germany- it probably won't work unless the wording is exactly the same. But if they could get it to work- I'm all for it!

If they could work the software sure, but sometimes I'm okay with a duplicate pick if they are a few months apart, it's nice to see the ebbs and flows of the users.

Though people will probably ignore it, couldn't hurt to try.

It could at least bring the possibility of repeats, and the fact that they're to be avoided, to people's attention. Though there'd still be the workaround of phrasing a repeat differently, like others have pointed out. And it'd also activate in error for something like "which scene is your favourite?" where the scenes being compared in each poll are different ones.
