This poll is brought to you by the random club whose spot look has changed at least 3 times one change after another.

The first poll put up and everyone voted on the white background. Someone(s) was(were) not happy about it so right after the vote a new poll was opened and this painfully burry and neon icon was put in place. There was another vote and it is white again. But now a new poll is up, and only a few days after the change. So far (thankfully) white is winning again over the retina-burning neon ones.

But seriously enough is enough; plain white has won twice now. Most people are fine with it and honestly I think it's the fairest way to go. I just don't think background/icon/banner polls should be made until a month or so passes after the first change.

People are seriously abusing it.

Also no hate intended on the people who made the polls. I do like the users who made them. I just don't like club backgrounds.

I don't think there should be a limit. As long as the incumbent option is available then I'm fine with it. Sure, it could get annoying if people try to change it all the time but that being said, those people who are the most active on that spot will see the pick and vote for what they want.

I don't know I guess I'm just tired of one after another. Literally right after the look is changed another poll will be made. With the system the way it is now that one guy/gal who didn't vote for the popular one can keep posting poll after poll. For me it just gets old after a while.

^I know exactly what you mean zanhar but I feel it should be this way and I feel only people having medal in that particular club should be given the right to make a poll about it, as one with having medals in particular spots are generally the one who are active that means they know when to make poll and how.
But giving ultimate time would be somewhat different, it could be a good idea but I am not sure it would work for other spot or not that I am not fan of. Although clubs I am active in are mostly organised.

I think users should show some damn restraint. If your option keeps losing in pick after pick, it's losing for a reason. Move along.

In the event of a terrible clash, it's nice to have an option correct it. For example, if someone runs an icon/banner pick at the same time and they look completely terrible together, someone can run one of the picks again and have something to match it to. (The easiest way to prevent that is to pick the banner first, then match the icon to it.)

@nmdis I guess it would be one of those "one spot ruins it for them all" things. Maybe certain clubs could get banned from making those polls for a while. The Once spot for instance (like you said) is organized. KataraLover has done a good job asking people before making polls and makes sure everyone has a chance to submit something.
Random is a bit different; people just add the polls without asking anyone else and therefore not giving people a fair chance of adding their own options.

I think organized clubs are fine having free reign but spots like random are a cry for help.

@DarkSarcasm For real though. I hated when that neon background won, but it won so I didn't make another poll just because I didn't like it. Obviously most people did. But oddly enough the second time around (when someone else posted a redo) everyone was like 'this background was a mistake' or 'I don't like it now that I've seen it' and white keeps winning. but then there's that few people who can't accept that the plain background has won--twice now and will probably keep putting up the polls until a neon one wins.
That's what I don't like.

But I'm with you I think club background should be shut down. Profile, fine, have at it. I've got one. But the club ones need to go. With profiles you don't have to see it all the time because you don't have to go to the user's profile if you don't like it. Whereas if a club you're active on gets an eye-sore of a background your sorry lost cause.

I don't think the images should be changed rapidly all the time just for the sake of it. Surely one set of images can be kept for a month, at least. And in some cases there could be some images which are so classic and a perfect fit that you wouldn't want to change them.

There should be an exception for changing images which don't suit or fit well though, obviously.

Originally I would have picked the "change whenever" option, particularly since some ugly-ass stuff gets uploaded, but people have abused the system. There needs to be a cool-down period where it can't be changed (which poses a problem for ugly spot looks, I know, but the ugly looks stem from the same people of people abusing the system).

This reminds me of the moreos thing (link) were she's all like "if you give people too much power here will be the icing will be so unevenly split that there will be like 20 cookies left..."

Once a club appearance has been selected, most of the time I don't think there's any point in continuously changing it just for the sake of it. Changing it in about a year's time, when there might be new content to add to the new images, or people might just feel like a chance, make sense. Changing it every 5 seconds would just feel chaotic and confusing, especially for club icons which people tend to use to recognise a club in their updates and mosaic. A limit to how often they can be changed would also prevent people from being petulant and continually making new polls whenever their favourite or the image they personally suggested loses.
