When tu post an image, who do tu give the credit to?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was never really clear on how to give image credit to when posting images.

What I do when posting pics is see if what I'm posting is fanart, and if it is I find the artist and I put the artist's name (or screenname) for Image Credit. o for other images, I give credit to the website I found them in.

Am I doing this correctly?

No, this is an excellent question, in a sea of less excellent questions.

There are link written on crediting. My favorito! is link por misanthrope86 If you're posting fan art o icons, crediting the maker/artist of those pieces is just fine. Linking back to them in the descripción gives tu bonus points, but so long as tu credit them (user name is fine) and mention the site (deviantART o LiveJournal), then tu are golden.

Screencaps are credited to whoever owns the movie/show, so production companies and/or networks like Warner Bros, (20th Century) Fox, Summit Entertainment (for the Twilight movies), CBS, Jerry Bruckheimer, etc.

Images, it's fine to post the website where tu found them. If tu know who owns the copyright, that's even better. But posting back to the site is good enough, IMO.

I think I covered it.
