As beautifully simplistic as germany's answer is, I decided to elaborate.

In case tu were wondering WHY her answer was a curt, and clear "No," let me explain what's happened to clubes users have made in the past...

Nothing.

Generally speaking, the spots get made, and maybe the user can convince a handful of other users to join, and then the spot is never updated except, perhaps, por the person who made it.

Also, consider the message tu would be sending to fans who DON'T know tu if tu made a spot about yourself. tu already have a perfil and a page where people can be a fan of you. Making a spot about yourself can often be seen por the greater population as conceited, silly, immature, pointless, egocentric, and/or uninteresting.

Less is often more... If tu want people to really get to know you, don't tell them everything up front. Make yourself a mystery, and people will delight in figuring tu out.

tu CAN make a spot/club about yourself... But just consider the repercussions of such an action that I mentioned.

Nice elaboration! My interpretation of fanpop is that fanpop spots are not intented to be personal blogs. fanpop if for sharing our amor for the things we are most obsessed with, with other like-minded people. People creating their own personal spots and treating them as blogs makes fanpop just like any other crappy site out their on which people promote themselves.

How is a single, one-word sentence (not even a profanity!) mean? She wasn't making a judgment about the user, just giving her opinion on whether o not she should make a spot. Germs' response has nothing to do with the user asking the question. I reckon she'd give the same answer to ANYONE asking if she should make a spot about herself.

Well, I dont think 'No' is mean. Maybe (like x-missmckna-x said) she should have expained but I dont think the term tu were looking for, loeed, was 'mean'... In my POV.

I must say that I DO agree with most of the users here who have dicho no. Logically looking at it, if a user creates a spot for him/herself it DOES come across as conceited, aggrogant and shameless. That's a fact! The intent might not be to anunciarse o boast about yourself, but it will be viewed that way por most of the users.
NOW, before anyone who reads these comentarios por me comes on here and calls me a hypocrite and a two-faced witch...
I do have a spot BUT it was NOT created por me. The young user did it as a way of mostrando her appreciation to me (long story!) and although I realize if was made out of kindness and gratitude, I AM embarassed to have a spot on the 'pop.

Well, I agree with Cinders.. in one way. But here are some questions:

Do tu write things about yourself? Do tu write stories? What are tu going to do at your spot?
What do tu want people to know about tu and want to registrarse your spot?

If tu want to make your own spot, go ahead. But it's just about your life and yourself, I don't think people will be interested....

Another thing: If tu have a VERY good reputation on fanpop and is known to do something in particular, I suggest tu to make your own spot, and post the things there. That's what I did. I post fanfictions, and research news and post them a lot on fanpop. I made my own spot, and it works out just fine! ^_^
