To Catch a Predator Predator is another solid episode of Elementary and another decent case of the week that pits Sherlock and Joan up against the murderer of a vigilante who was responsible for publicly shaming sexual predators on dating sites.

Joan enters Gregson’s office. He asks her to shut the door and “have a seat.” He launches into a story about a book his sister has been “hounding” him to read, he was certain the descripción would be of interest to Joan though.

Meanwhile, Joan visits her stepfather, who, as noted in the press release, wrote a novel with the characters based very closely on herself and Sherlock. Though Joan's reaction to the situation is predictable, the same cannot be dicho for her partner.

Elementary has played with the idea before, notably in reciente episodes, of people ostensibly on one side of an issue faking a crime o assault in order to achieve their own ends.

This first post-Kitty (Ophelia Lovibond) episode does not dwell on what her leaving means, but we do see that her departure does have an impact on Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) especially but arguably also on Watson (Lucy Liu).

The opening montage and scenes reintroduce us to the cast, reminding us of some of their struggles-- the injury that has sidelined Detective Bell.
