It’s hard not to be obsessed with Doctor Who. For fifty years, we have been exploring all of el espacio and time with the Doctor, and with the reciente 50th anniversary and the navidad special’s regeneration, we can’t wait to see what’s coming up.

Doctor Who tells the story of the Doctor, the last of the Time Lords, and his companions travelling through el espacio and time in his TARDIS, o Time And Relative Dimension In Space. Thanks to its broken chameleon circuit, the TARDIS is stuck looking like what has now become an iconic blue police box, and it’s bigger on the inside! We never know where the Doctor and his companions will end up, but every episode can both terrify us with new and classic villains, and inspire us to fight for humanity and be the best humans wecan be. Either way, we know we’re in for an epic adventure.

Partly because it’s been around so long, but also simply because it’s just so good, Doctor Who has picked up an incredible number of fans. The fandom is huge and obsessed, almost to a cult-like degree, and we can understand why! The mostrar has something for everyone, both children and adults alike, it entertains but also makes tu think, and it’s so easy to get drawn in. With so much going for it, it’s easy to see why Doctor Who fans are obsessed. They make sure to remember every detail about the Doctor Who universe and own all the merchandise, o even make their own. There really is nothing quite like being a Whovian.

Think you’re obsessed with Doctor Who? tu know you’re a Whovian and are obsessed with Doctor Who when...

1. There’s one Doctor who’s Your Doctor

Whether it’s a classic Doctor, o someone from the “New Who,” tu have a Doctor. Be it Tom Baker, David Tennant, Matt Smith, o any of the other great Doctors, there’s one that tu consider yours, not that tu don’t amor them all, but he’s your Doctor and that’s special. It could be that tu identify with him the most, o that tu started watching with him. Whatever the reason he’s iconic to you. He’s your Doctor, and it was especially hard to see him go.

2. Forget About Waiting for Your Letter From Hogwarts, You’re Waiting for the Doctor to Come and Ask tu to Run

Though their time with the Doctor doesn’t always end well, the Doctor’s companions lead great lives. The Doctor comes in and befriends a seemingly ordinary human, invites her to travel with him in his blue box, and shows her that she can be extraordinary. She becomes as much a hero as the Doctor, and he really wouldn’t be able to be the Doctor without her. You’re just waiting for that blue box to mostrar up outside your door and for the Doctor to whisk tu off on his siguiente great adventure.

3. tu Know that Peter Capaldi isn’t really the 12th Doctor

Peter Capaldi’s 12th Doctor is reallt the 14th Doctor; any true Whovian understands that. With John Hurt’s “War Doctor” making an appearance in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special “The día of the Doctor,” and with David Tennant’s 10th Doctor using up one of his regenerations and subsequently having another version of himself, Capaldi’s Doctor isn’t 12, but is really 14. This means that Capaldi shouldn’t even be the Doctor because there are only supposed to be 12 regeneration cycles. Luckily, in the navidad special in 2013, “The Time of the Doctor,” the Time Lords granted the Doctor a new cycle of regenerations.

4. tu Never Blink When tu See an ángel Statue

Yes, all of the episodes with the Weeping ángeles are terrifying, but the initial episode that featured the Weeping Angels, “Blink,” is what really did it for you. After hearing the Doctor say, “Don’t blink. Don’t even blink. Blink and you’re dead. They are fast. Faster than tu can believe. Don’t turn your back, don’t look away, and don’t blink” you’ve been keeping an eye on those ángel statues. Your life may depend on it. tu don’t even blink.

5. tu Have Your own Doctor Who Scarf, and it is Incredible

Along with other merchandise such as a sonic screwdriver, many Whovians can’t go without Tom Baker’s Doctor’s iconic scarf. It even made an appearance on “The día of the Doctor,” as did Tom Baker himself. With people selling scarves and posting instructions on how to make them yourself, the famous scarf has become a must have item for any Doctor Who fan.

6. tu listen to Trock

The Doctor Who fandom extends outside of the show. Like Wrock, o Wizard Rock from Harry Potter, Trock is Time Lord Rock. These bands, which write songs about Doctor Who, are actually really great. Plus, they mostrar just what being obsessed with Doctor Who really looks like. These are real fans of the show.
