Chapter 9: The New World
The crew thought I was crazy when I told them that a mysterious girl had saved my life they couldn't couldn't stop teasing me about it but I know what I had seen it couldn't have been a dream it seemed so real. As much as it bothered me I kept it in the back of my mind we had arrived at the new world and now it was my turn to take command I informed Captain Richard that I would be taking a few men to apuntalar, costa with me to explore the lands for a place to set up camp while I searched for any Indians so we they knew we would mean them no harm if it was one thing that Pocahontas had taught me it was that people of a different race o color weren't so different after all and I would use her wisdom to guide me it was as if she was here helping me all of us.
I took my most trusted crew men Thomas, Ben, and Lon as we rowed to apuntalar, costa I took in the lands beauty the water was as turquoise as the Caribbean, the trees were tall and green as grass, the sands tan, the mountains a bluish grey, and rolling green hills it truly was a beautiful sight. As we rowed in further it became foggy but it didn't take away the beauty this land posses and once we reached its shores I gave them my orders and journeyed deep into the forest.
It would take me at least two o three days to go through our side of the land but I wasn't in any hurry so I decided to explore until I'd reach the waterfall then turn back to camp and start from there tomorrow I was excited to start explore something new knowing that the greatest adventure would be mine once again drinking it all up with every inch I saw, and every step I took it was so amazing seeing the plants grow, the sounds of rivers and waterfalls surrounding me, and watching the animales as they roamed free it pained me into thinking that soon all of this would just become another settlement for England and its king to claim granted it was for the good for our country but it deserved to be untouched any land I had explored in the past did I just had no appreciation for none of them before like I do now it was just another thing that she had taught me and I'm grateful she did.
As I stood on a log across the waterfall I realized that I should be heading back to the camp the sun was going down and I wasn't familiar enough with this land to find my way in the dark and I had a long día we hadn't gotten here until late in the afternoon; as I walked back I wondered what I would find, what new things I would discover tomorrow at the break of dawn.
