Not right...

Does anyone else think that the name for the new episode"Uncanny Valley" was a not a good name for it? In my opinion it should have been called the "Dollmaker" o the "Doll Collecter" o something like that.

I found this in tv.com:
The título of this episode refers to the hypothesis that holds when robots and other facsimiles of humans look and act almost like actual humans, this resemblance causes a response of revulsion among human observers. The "valley" is a dip in a proposed graph of the positivity of human reaction as a function of a robot's lifelikeness and explains why almost-human-looking robots scare people más than mechanical-looking robots.
Here, instead of robots, are dolls.
but, yeah, maybe, another name would've fitted better.

That's a good explanation, but unless someone read it beforehand I can't see anyone knowing that o making the connection as it doesn't seem like common knowledge, it seems like a very obscure fact. So most people would be clueless about what the name meant, most names of episodes are más clear. But it what a great explanation, thanks for uploading. :)

I think the "Dollmaker" o the "Doll Collecter" would give too much away about the episode.
If tu see that título you'll know that there's an unsub who ofcourse uses humans as collectable dolls. tu know what I mean?

I agree that dollmaker o doll collector would be too obvious but uncanny valley really doesn't have anything to do with what the ep was about. hmmmm.....
