He has a brother,Sean, a chef. His Dad died around Hotch's age as an overworked lawyer. I think he was abused as a kid ("its no wonder some abused children become killers...and some grow up to catch them.") tu don't know too much else. He has been on the BAU for 10 years. He has a son Jack who is about 5.
