ZE:A\'s leader Lee Hoo announces big changes to Star Empire and their contract

ZE:A\'s leader Lee Hoo (Junyoung) posted an explosive series of tweets earlier today detailing the abuses he and his group faced under the management of Star Empire, which ended with him going into discussions with the agency\'s president.

After several hours of anxious waiting on the part of his fans, Lee Hoo returned to post the results of his meeting.

Shin Joo Hak," he posted. "It has been decided that Star Empire will be operated by me, by us, as a ZE:A company. I promised all of you that ZE:A\'s Day will be coming, I said I will either knock it down or absorb it ... now is the time for you to protect us.. But the truth is..."

"Lastly, President Shin Joo Hak who lost everything and was left with empty pockets... I still deplore and hate you but you were our President for 8 years. You were my responsibility and.. that responsibility.. I\'ll take the shaming from the public and the fans. Myself and President Shin Joo Hak will take the responsibility. The contract has been flipped, we now receive 7 to every 3 for the President."

"What I want to say is, with this incident, I know that many other agency presidents are having problems with contracts. I will close my mouth so please fix the problem and treat your artists better. I will make this last request politely. If they can hear my heart .."

"We will start fresh from the very beginning.. put everything down and consider it my baby.. I humbly request that you do it one more time."

"And to everyone, the fans, the reporters, who helped us.. thank you. Thank you so much for revealing our truth. To everyone reading this... in the name of ZE:A, the singers, the actors, the dancers, the variety people, and in the name of our seniors, friends, juniors and all of the artists... putting ZE:A and my name, Lee Hoo, on the line, I wanted to tell you that we will live bravely."

"I\'m not a coward... but I will be quiet for the time being. I will be watching.. To all of the agency presidents and management, take care of your issues, fix your mistakes, apologize and acknowledge them.. what I, what we want is to put down everything and get the hearts of your artists."

"If something like this happens again in the future, this entertainment industry that I know, that I see, that I feel... please keep in mind that I have a weapon that will flip the entire industry on its head. I\'m sorry for causing trouble.. and thank you again. Because of you, we found again.. the words of hope, dreams, goals. Thank you and please take care of us."

It looks like there are big changes on the horizon for K-Pop contracts, and especially Star Empire. 

[UPDATE 1] "And there are some people that are misunderstanding.. this is about ZE:A internally. It\'s not that the ones playing around are splitting the money.. when I got hurt, I didn\'t receive payment for two years.. zero KRW.. we don\'t divide the pay. I won\'t say any more and remain quiet. Thank you."

What i love even more that he mentioned other companies asking them to treat their artist better 

I am so confused how can an idol suddenly become an owner of a company??? Can anyone explain to me what is going on? I just find it it hard to believe that he became and owner like this...

Well.  I guess the Korean industry is definitely going to go through a crazy change.

I\'m happy that ZE:A gets more money now but 7:3 ? I don\'t know anything abiut fiancial stuff but is that enough for the company ? I mean don\'t they have to pay for alot of things for their artists ? 

this guy sounds cuckoo to me. if he\'s not cuckoo, his life is in danger now. 

1) I think some way, some how, Lee Hoo has something major on the Star Empire CEO,  and has decided to use it to improve the situations of his members. From the public evidence that is out there, ZE:A who have been busting their butts working in every part of the entertainment industry were getting a raw deal. All those variety shows Kwanghee was on, movies and TV Siwan was doing, Hyungsik\'s many activities - they were trying  overtime to generate enough revenue for the whole group - and whenever they could they promoted the other members tirelessly. This group was closer than I think we all realized.

2) Lee Hoo knows more than what\'s going on with Star Empire. I expect when he sees an opportunity to help someone else who is another agency, he will do what he can to share what he knows in order to help others. He won\'t take the credit. I think he\'s determined to reform the whole system. I think he would prefer they act beforehand, but if they don\'t, they will regret it. 

3) When the tragic Ladies Code accident occurred - and then sex abuse rumors started to spread - a lot of idols whether they admitted it or not thought very seriously about their work situations and what is right. 

4) I hope that along with treating idols fairly this will extend to the managers. I would like to see the end of managers driving their groups, and dedicated drivers (or pools of drivers) who can sleep and be well rested while the idols are doing their activities. Never again should an idol ride anywhere for any amount of time without wearing seat belts, and the airbags should be check before any rides.

2014 is a year which changes a lot.. Im happy the matter is settlrd, for now.. And hope other companys take this as an exmple. It couldve gotten really dangerous..

i\'m just scared if they\'re letting him believe he\'s taking over the company and then do some sabotaging n everyone would be blaming him since he\'s \'in charge\' now...that\'s my biggest fear now...seriously, he\'s walking on thin ice now...i hope he\'s prepared...this is far more dangerous than not getting what he wanted...

If what he knows could impact the entire industry then he should just reveal everything because while conditions may have gotten better for him and ZE:A, the corruption that he hinted at in his earlier tweets is something that other idols/trainees still have to deal with. He should reveal what he knows so the entire industry can undergo a change for the better.  

Sigh WHAT AN ATTENTION WHORE. Just shut up already, your just trying to make excuses cause you want out of ZEA so you can betray them and make money. Just be straightfoward for once and stop blaming other people. Holy, why the hell did JYJ and Hangeng start this train. They set such bad examples and have Kris traitor and now this ungrateful dude try to betray their members and make money. SO disgusting.

After saying what he said and  menacing his President how he can hope to stay in this company and works in good atmosphere, he just dug his and his band grave! He even can\'t hope to be hired in other company, just look what happened to Han ye seul, just one  light critic and she is not able to find a job. I really believe Lee Hoo made a big mistake! Life is not so fair that he thinks and he needed to be more discrete and talk to his manager whether than splashing the dirt every where!

Now this is what you call a LEADER, someone who is willing to stand up to higher authorities and protect their fellow members and themselves. I admire this young man and his determination to change this unjust situation. You are so strong and an inspiration to us all!

7:3 is an unbelievable amount idk about this whole case.............
