katniss said she never wanted to marry and let there be a possibility of her kids in the games, especially now because she was a champion in the games and its more likely they want to choose the child of a champion

Of course I'd pick Peeta. He wants whatevers best for Katniss and they need eachother. No matter how much it would break my heart to break GALE'S heart, I would have chosen Peeta still. He was the best even if he was a big a** in the last book. It wasn't his fault. Deep down, he really loved Katniss and she knew that. That's why she chose him, not Gale. I'd do the same.
