Liesel Landauer and her friend Hana are linked por a lifelong relationship and an exceptional house built por the architect Von Abt for Liesel and her husband Bikto in Czechoslovakia in the early 1930s.
Set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit, it revolves around a man who struggles to make the payments on a corazón he has purchased. He must therefore go on the run before dicho ticker is repossessed.
