​You know how everyone lost their collective minds recently after finding out 5SOS\'s Calum Hood had essentially sheared his glorious mane of hair right off his scalp? OF COURSE YOU DO. You\'re probably still searching for your sanity as we speak. 

Well, he\'s now spoken up for the first time about his reasoning behind the cut, and as it turns out, the whole thing was more about comfort rather than style. 

Talking to 99.3 FLZ about what inspired him to pick up the scissors and slice off his locks, Cal shared: "Yeah, I just shaved it. It\'s very hot in Australia, so I was just like \'I don\'t want to deal with this sh*t\'."

It\'s all a very reasonable, sensible, if not particularly *detailed* explanation, but we prefer to think the ghost who was hanging out by his bed was sent to Earth to tell him how great he\'d look with a skincut. The only upsetting thing is his career as a romance-novel model with long, billowing hair, is now a thing of the past.
