It was a week after Eleanor Waldorf's funeral and Blair seemed to be getting herself back to normal, bit por bit, step por step. Chuck was happy to see that Blair was smiling again even if she was still hurting on the inside, which it was obvious that she was. Blair was getting over her mother's death, even though it was taking time.

Blair and Chuck were sitting in the courtyard of Constance Billiard School and Chuck's hands were laying tenderley in Blair's. Blair was happy Chuck that he was there for he, she didn't know what she would have done if she had been on her own. ''How tu feeling?'' Chuck asked softly and gently near to Blair's ear. ''Fine, I suppose''. Blair dicho in reply to Chuck's question. Serena walked over to the mesa, tabla that Chuck and Blair were talking at and asked Blair how she was, she answered the same response as she did to Chuck's question.

That evening Blair and Chuck were sitting in the games room of Chuck's home, and now Blair's inicial according to Bart and Lily. They were laid in each other's arms, Chuck's arms wrapped strongly around Blair as if he was protecting her, Blair had laid her hands across Chuck's arms '' I am really glad I've got you, and your family, I don't know what I would do without you''. Blair dicho ''Me neither'' Chuck said.

The door opened and Eric and Bart walked into the room, ''Sorry, we'll leave tu two alone'' Bart dicho as they exited the room.

''I don't know why everyone has got to pussyfoot around me'' Blair dicho angrily, Chuck was shocked at Blair's sudden outburst and embraced her as he could see the tears welling up in her eyes, Blair didn't argue with this and started to cry into Chuck's arms, the last time she had done this was during the eulogy lectura at her mother's funeral, ''It's only because they care about you, they don't want to upset you'' Chuck dicho comfortingly.

That night Chuck and Blair layed in bed, again arms wrapped around each other, they both knew that their feelings were to strong to dismiss as anything else but love, and they were happy, Chuck was happy to protect Blair and Blair was happy to be protected and feel like part of a family again. Blair let her eyes flutter shut and as did Chuck's, they both dreamt of each other and their future together.
