Outfit Ideas Inspired by Big Hero 6’s Honey Lemon

Big Hero 6 is now available on Blu-ray! We are immediately going to pick up a copy, not only so we can laugh at Baymax’s adorable antics, but also to study every single outfit that Honey Lemon wears. Her style is so fun and quirky, and it’s also very easy to steal! We put together a couple outfits that are like Honey Lemon’s to inspire your next ensemble.

With a nickname like Honey Lemon, it’s no wonder she has such a penchant for all things yellow and sunny. We took elements on Honey Lemon’s signature golden outfit, like the collared dress and slouchy cardigan, but added a few bright twists of our own, like the tasseled loafers. Knee high socks are totally on trend right now, so it’s an easy choice to incorporate them into any outfit.

Honey Lemon is all about classic pieces that have a girly, or quirky twist to them. While a bow-tied top is more traditional, an orange and white striped skirt gives it a fun edge. Matching coral pumps and a headband are a must. We also couldn’t forget a cute cat phone cover that’s perfect for taking group selfies.

For Honey Lemon’s super hero outfit, we wanted to do something that evoked the style of her ensemble, but still be practical for everyday wear. A slightly more casual dress paired with matching wedge booties are an easy way to steal that style. As a nod to the outfits bright colors, we added a pink and purple bracelet stack, as well as a bright pink bubble necklace, which reminded us of Honey Lemon’s chem-balls. Of course, you’ve got to have a good purse, which is why this structed yellow one is our pick.
