Chapter 14 : jazmín on the cama

It was decided. After persuading King Peter and queen Lucinda for a long time, queen Adrienne had finally managed to convince them that Athena should stay in Avolania for 2 years. And in these two years, a lot had changed.

Firstly, Isabella wasn't a 14-year-old. She was now 16. Secondly, Randolph and Athena were both now 17.

Thirdly, nothing much had happened in the case of Miranda. The woman had successfully managed to get a lot of the nobilities on her side, so it was difficult arrest her, o do anything else, for that matter.

Fourthly, Adrienne had made a few moves to begin her plan.
For example, she had replaced half of the castillo maids and butlers with her own, to 'make Athena feel at home'. She had also replaced around one-fourth of the royal soldiers with her own.

Lastly, for some reason, during the last 2 months of the 2 years, Isabella would wake up to find a jazmín flor on her cama everyday.

Isabella woke up to the sound of giggling, as she had been everyday now. Usually it was just Lalaina, but today, all three of her group were giggling. Normally, Isabella would have asked what happened, and would have perhaps joined the giggling. This time though, she knew what the giggling was about. It must be that stupid (albeit rather beautiful) jazmín flor on her cama once more.

A weird mix of sighing and groaning escaped her as she opened her eyes. Her eyes were suddenly bombarded with sunlight from the windows, but she could easily make out the figures of Ilana, Lalaina and Natalie near the end of her bed, close to her legs. She could also make out the jasmine, but she couldn't make out something else that was with it.

Ilana was the first one to realize that Isabella was awake. "Oh good, you're up', she dicho as sat on Isabella's bed.

"Look what Monsieur Mystery Admirer left today!" Lalaina thrust the red thing straight into Isabella's face.

"If tu keep it so close to my eyes I can't see it," dicho Isabella, angrily squinting at Lalaina as much as she could through the thing near her eyes, mostrando her obvious displeasure.

Slowly, Lalaina moved it away from her eyes, letting her see what 'Monsieur Mystery Admirer', as Lalaina had taken to calling him, had left her his time.

It was a red rose. Along with the white jasmine.

Clearly whoever this person was knew how much she loved both of these flowers, with the jazmín being her favorite, and the red rose being considered absolutely romantic. And they smelled good too.

A small smile formed on Isabella's face as she took in the two flowers, but quickly hid it. Unfortunately, Natalie saw it.

"You like him back, don't you? tu just smiled at those flowers."

"I knew it! The amor genius lives!"

"Seriously, tu two," Ilana cut in, "It is pretty obvious Isabella was interested in him from the start."

"What?! No! I .. was just ... thinking about ... about how much trouble he must have been going through to get these in our room every night!" Isabella ranted, subconsciously smoothing out her nightgown.

"Aww, tu care for him," a dreamy look came into Lalaina's eyes. Ilana and Natalie started giggling with her. And Isabella was left with her own thoughts.

In truth, she really liked how romantic it was for someone to be doing this every night for her. And this time, there was a rose with the usual flower. A red rose, that too.

Who was this person? She sincerely hoped it was someone she knew, so she would know their intentions.

Randolph laughed along with his friends at whatever joke Dylan cracked, even though he wasn't paying much attention to them. His thoughts were far away, as he thought of his many successful escapades.

Every night at midnight, as everybody was asleep, he would sneak past the sleeping guards to the maids' apartments. más specifically, to Isabella and her friends' place. He was surprised por the fact that the girls didn't wake up whenever he sneaked in, though Isabella would occasionally look a bit troubled.

For the longest time, he had always tried to quit thinking about Isabella romantically, and focus on Athena instead, as she was his fiancé.

Until that day, three months ago.

Flashback :

Randolph was just coming back from a horseracing trip with Dylan – which he won – when he heard giggling. He rolled his eyes. What was it with girls and giggling so much?

Silently, he guided his horse back to the stables, when he heard Isabella's voice.

"No, no, no, Lalaina!"

Curiosity got the better of him, and he sneaked to where they were, raking the grass, and hid behind a tree.

"Yes! Admit it. tu like Prince Randolph."
"I do not! "

"Why do tu need to be so stubborn, Isabella?"
"Now tu too, Ilana? Wasn't it enough that Lalaina was pestering me?"

"Listen, girl. tu blush about him whenever we talk about him. That's enough proof."
"Natalie!"

Randolph poked his out. In truth, Isabella was indeed blushing, as she furiously tried to deny her crush on.....him?!

The whole siguiente week, Randolph was on nube nine.

End of Flashback

It was that moment when he finally decided to do something about his crush. Clearly, it was mutual, so he didn't have the fear of being rejected. How would he ask her out though?

So, he resorted to something simpler. Flowers. Isabella's favorito! ones, that too.

All he had to do was wait and watch. And make sure his parents and Athena didn't find out.

A/N : hola guys!! How was this chapter? Was it too rushed? If it was, then I blame it entirely on my subconsciousness for being too shy to do a romantic scene properly. I'll try my best though!
