It had been so long. I wasn't sure exactly where I was o how long I'd wandered, but I was scared. I'd never seen the world, and if I had, then it looked completely different now. What was I to do? There was no one there to explain what had happened to me, though it was easy to guess what I had become. I figured it out the first time I'd hunted. I was basically in the middle of no where, though how I'd gotten there, I didn't know. The point was that the only thing to hunt in the middle of no where were animals, and I was very, very thirsty. It was cute when other people think of me as a little monster, ballerina, o pixie but when the term is used to insult me…. that’s another story.


Then it clicked. I think the problem was me but used in her terms. I am the enemy. I am his wife. Remembering what she dicho just a few minutos hace it clicked why she always wanted to see him, why she always called him, why he told her about the party over me, he didn’t do it intentionally but it happened. “I know Jasper is your husband but he is my friend. I amor him too.” That one mistake in the conversation and it clicked. She LOVED him....

I wasn’t going to let this happen, not to my sweet, innocent Alice. If she was in danger, so was I, so was our whole family.
“You guys can run,” Suggested Emmett.
“No, the Vultori has Alec; he can track anyone, anywhere, at any time.” That was the fifth idea Carlisle had dismissed. He didn’t want us to fight, move, go to Italy, and now he’s telling us running is out. What now?
“What else is there?”
“Maybe, if Edward and I leave.” “no, absolutely not” I cut her off. “There’s no way you’re going out there alone when someone is tracking you.”
“I won’t be alone...

"What am I going to do"? I asked Emmett.
"I don't know dude, tu know Alice she doesn't like being protected".
Emmett was right, Alice wasn't the type to be the damsel in distress. I couldn't help it though. I was raised in the south in the time of the Civil war. I was taught to protect women. Maybe Alice was right; maybe I was living in the past. I didn't care though Alice was mine and I was going to keep her safe.
"Maybe tu could buy her flowers, ooh o maybe a house!" Emmett suggested enthusiastically.
"I don't think that will make this right".
"Are we talking about the same Alice"?
Just then...

"How old are you?" Alice asked as she walked with Jasper out to the end of the pier.

"Eighteen." He answered, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Really? Well, I'm only fifteen, but I'll be sixteen at the end of October." She informed him, then began to skip. He stood still, halfway to the end of the long pier, and watched her, awed. He'd never met a girl like her before. She turned to look at him, also stopping, a few feet away.

"Well, come on!" she called back to him, then started skipping again.

Aw, what the hell. He thought, then followed her, laughing as he skipped. They sat down, side por side,...

Alice's P.O.V.


We walked around the field for a while, just basking in memories, but my thirst for shopping couldn’t be held back for long. I asked Jasper if I could go shopping for some souvenirs, he smiled and dicho he would wait for me on the field. I headed into the first comprar I saw and started picking things for everyone: a book about war and the Confederate army for Edward, a book about army medicine for Carlisle, a lovely old fashioned hat for Esme, a cuchillo for Emmett and a snow globe for Bella. I would have to buy something for Rosalie at another type...
