​After teasing a snippet of new music during The X Factor ad break last weekend, Adele\'s released a statement about her new album

The \'Someone Like You\' star hasn\'t actually given us any new tunes since the 2012 James Bond theme \'Skyfall;\' but now she\'s finally ready to chuck her \'make-up\' album down our oh-so-patient lugholes. Oh, and JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. Mum, dad; you know what you\'re getting this year.

Adele\'s last album 21 made her the best selling albums artist of the decade, which is alright, and chucking a statement on Twitter and stuff out of bloody nowhere she said: "My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I\'m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven;t got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to.

"25 is about getting to know who I\'ve become without realising. And I\'m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened."
