Do I need a quotation marks?

One of my characters is telling the other Character the story and I need to know if I need quotation marks when he is telling the other character the story. The other character will only do a little talking in the beginning.(Maybe)

Any thoughts will be helpful...Thank you!

"Oh sorry continue." ...Shawn finishes the story for the remainder of the story I am escritura but there will be character interaction minus that of Cain he his listening.
