Total writer's block

Dark stuff is right up my alley. How about this...

A small child is walking down the stairs of his house in the middle of the night because he had a nightmare. but when he reaches his parents room, he finds them dead and horribly mangled. He also finds the word "Guilty" written on the muro in blood. When the police come they find the kid majorly scarred. And for the rest of the story the kid, who is now in his teens, is going from therapy session after therapy session, slowly remembering that night. And he finally remembers a face. He tells the police that he knows who did it, but they have to have proof, so the kid goes out and kills him/her himself.
