This is a film I only heard about in hushed whispers. 1988’s Maniac Cop was a slasher film that, among other slasher film titles, went unnoticed when it first came out. Low critical reception sure didn’t help. But it eventually gained a following and many people came to enjoy the film. And so, what do I think of the movie. Is it a possible underrated slasher classic o is it not good. Well, I do like the idea of a police officer being a serial killer, and making it a lot más of a hidden threat, so there is definitely potential here. Let’s give it a shot.

In the middle of the night, a serial killer dressed as a cop, complete with handcuffs, a gun, and a nightstick concealing a blade, stalks the streets of New York, killing people in droves and driving the public to fear the police. Police officer Jack Forrest, played por the King of Camp, Bruce Campbell, is framed for the murders after his wife is killed, all while officers Frank McCrae and Theresa Mallory buscar for the killer and try to discover what his identity is and why he has strange abilities, especially being deathly cold and being unphased when shot. Some people could easily pass the Maniac Cop off as a Friday the 13th rip-off, but come on.... Jason didn’t go to New York until the seventh movie.
Now let me start off por saying this, if tu are going into this movie looking for really good suspense, really decent story, all that jazz, Maniac Cop is not the film for you. This movie is really dumb, made for the lowest kind of entertainment, all about seeing people get killed por the slasher, waiting to see who lives and who dies. My kind of film, honestly. Sometimes, tu just wanna watch a stupid slasher film just for the fun of it, and Maniac Cop is that kind of film. This is coming from the same guy that happily watches Friday the 13th más than Nightmare on Elm Street. This film will never win any rewards and doesn’t have a killer as iconic as Jason, but it’s got just the right amount of cheese to be entertaining enough.
The script in this movie is really bad. Maybe not bad, but just so lame. Sometimes, laughably bad. The actuación is just campy enough to be silly and make tu enjoy what tu are watching through and through. Campbell's character, Jack, actually did cause some problem with producers, as they didn't like that he cheated on his wife at the start of the movie. But the creator didn't change it, because he preferred not having a completely good character, rather having a morally questionable one, which is found in a lot of horror films. I actually kinda like it. Wow, praising Maniac Cop with brilliant writing. Campbell did start out por saying this was the worst movie he had been a part of, but did grow to appreciate it over time. And then there’s the Maniac Cop himself. Sure, not the greatest slasher villain ever, but he’s no Evil Bong, that’s for sure. And the backstory with him at least explains his appearance. Not his immunity to bullets, but it definitely helps tu understand how he got to be as crazy as he is.
Maniac Cop is dumb. It’s really dumb. It’s super dumb. And yet it is the right kind of dumb to be entertaining to any slasher junkie. It’s far from the greats, but tu can probably get, at least some ironic enjoyment out of it. It was decent enough to get 2 sequels, but I don’t think I’ll ever check those out. That said, this film is worth a watch. Check it out if tu have a amor for 80s slashers.

#1: FREDDY KRUEGER (nightmare on Elms calle spoof):
Most of Freddy's most disturbing traits are replaced por his immature behavior.
for example, he refuses to kill Nancy till she becomes scared of him, when she starts getting, simply bored.
Freddy goes around quoting every line he EVER had in the actual movies, and also using frases from other cine (though he denies it and claims it's HIS quote).
Due to this "new" personality, it's possible that only reason he's killing people in their sleep, is because he "can" kill us in our sleep..

What in the name of god. They are already ready remaking Grand Theft Auto 5.
Now, don't get me wrong. I amor Grand Theft Auto 5. I think it is one of the funnest games I have played in 2013. But, seriously, it's only one año old, and already they are remaking it for playstation 4 and XBox One. Seriously, tu should at least give a game some time to age before tu remake it. Look at Ocarina of Time, a game which people dicho is the greatest game ever, which was made back in 1999. The remake for the 3DS wasn't made until 2012, which is years later. Honestly, they are already remaking GTA 5. Sure, the graphics are better, but the thing is that the graphics were amazing to begin with. Why are tu remaking this game so early, Rockstar. But, hey, that's only my opinion. What's Your Take

Simon: Henry! tu still wearing that tux?

Henry: every chance I get

Simon: heh... oh... tu brought soldiers

Dex: why does everyone think i'm a soldier?

Marcus: no idea...

Henry: tu seem calmer since the last time a saw you...

Simon: I take pills... anyway, why are tu here?

Henry: we need tu back

Simon: no way! i'm NOT going back to Klintsy!

Henry: we are close to taking down Harper and Dominic.

Simon: why don't fight your own war!

Henry: tu are the only one that knows Harper and his tactics.

Simon: ok then, come inside so I can teach tu

Henry: tu and I both know that he still has some sanity left...

Simon: ... *sigh* lets go...
There are a lot of video games that have anime about them. tu have classics like Persona 4: The Animation, Devil May Cry, and of course Pokemon. And with new anime based on video games, like Phoenix Wright having a pretty good anime series, and with Castlevania being announced to have a anime some time in the future, it makes me wonder if there are other video games that could have some pretty neat anime. So, today, I want to share with tu some anime that could have the potential to have their own anime. Now, before I start, there are some things to address. First off, I am only including...

After my parte superior, arriba Ten Hated Video Game Characters list, I really wanted to make a parte superior, arriba Hated Animated Characters List. However, the problem with that is that I don’t hate that many animated characters. Not that I don’t, it’s just that when tu play video games, tu get a different perspective of characters than tu do watching animated shows. With video games, tu look through the protagonists eyes, and tu have the same opinion of other characters that the protagonist has, making the player (That’s you) the protagonist. With animated shows, you’re just the spectator, watching events unfold...

What is a story without characters? Well, it isn’t really a story, now is it? And none of tu smartasses try to go find some obscure book o poem that doesn’t have characters in it, because I don’t care. Anyway, video games hold just as much story as any medium. Story is sometimes not as important as gameplay, like action games o shooters, o a major part of the game, like RPGs and point and click. But no matter what genre they may be, every game needs to have a character tu play as, in order to have them interact with the world and others with them, and have them tell the story through...

Okay, so after a whole week when I dicho “The Resident Evil 4 review will be out tomorrow”, I am finally going to do the actual review. Yeah, I know, I should have done it sooner, but tu know, school and finals and junk. Anyway, how about that review. We all know that Resident Evil is one of the best horror franchises out there. It managed to make survival horror what it is today. Sure, we may have just gotten out of the dark ages of Resident Evil, what with Resident Evil 6 being a Michael bahía movie and Umbrella Corps being the worst thing ever, but I think Resident Evil VII is a step in...

When I first heard of the game, Spooky’s House of Jumpscares, I thought it was going to be a rather dull horror game filled with, what else, jumpscares. But after playing it, this game was so much más than what I thought it would be. It managed to be a very scary and disturbing game that made tu wonder what was going to come next, what horrifying creature was around the corner, and why those damn cardboard cutouts are everywhere. But what I liked best about Spooky’s House of Jumpscares had to be the creatures tu ran into in this game. The creatures are some of the most disturbing and...

After hearing that Diamond is Unbreakable is getting adapted into a series, I could only cheer with joy, and be prepared for such a thing to come. And since Part Four is only a week away, I thought that I should honor it por doing a lista dedicated to it. And what better one to make than talking about Part Three, Stardust Crusaders. Now, I amor Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Love, love, love, love, love, amor IT! Easily my third favorito! anime, and fourth favorito! animated series of all time. And like I dicho before, I am super excited for the release of Part Four. And to celebrate, I want to talk...

#80: Corpse Party: Tortured Souls

Now, there was a game known as Corpse Party that was made back in 1998- por god, it’s that old. Anyway, there was then an anime based off of the game… Fifteen years after the game was made. But, other than that, the anime was good. For an anime that only has four episodes, it was actually kinda good. The series was about a group of kids who accidently make a mistake with a paper doll, and are then sent to a cursed elementary school. Here, they have to try and figure out what is going on, while a psychotic ghost girl picks them off one por one. Now, if...

#10: Tarboy por James Lee - This is a simple animated video. But, I admit, the animación is pretty good. It is about a world of robots, which is about a grandfather telling his grandson about the story of a hero named Tarboy, a hero made out of the tar from dozens of robots murdered por a greedy corporation...

Well, after a full Easter Sunday away from my computer, it’s nice to come back to my inicial and just sit and play video games, because lord knows I got nothing better to do with my time. So, while I was out with a friend, looking for old games, my eyes spotted a copy of Silent colina 4: The Room, a game that I had rarely heard about. I had to get my hands on it, and so, I did. But before I played it, I looked into it, and discovered that, this game is, in fact, not seen in the best of light, with people saying that this was the game that started the downfall of the Silent colina franchise. Now,...

Before following the story, we must ask, what is Nuzlocke? Nuzlocke is a challenge in Pokemon games where the player must follow the specific rules. 1: They can only catch one Pokemon for an area, and can only catch the first one. If they can’t catch that Pokemon, then they are not allowed to catch any Pokemon for that route. segundo rule, all Pokemon must be named in order to form a stronger bond with them. Third and final rule, if a Pokemon faints, they are dead, and must be released o placed in the box permanently. The challenge was made to make the game harder and to make the bonds with...

When a game comes to a console, it usually happens to either be made for that one console o made for a couple other ones, especially in the reciente years. tu don’t see much console exclusive games anymore. A few roll around, like Xbox’s Halo, Playstations Crash and a plethora of nintendo exclusives, but there are times when games get ported to other consoles. Sometimes it’s great, and other times it’s…. Not great. Heck, it can be considered that some of the worst games, o at least, some of the worst of a year, are just ports. Remember the original PS3 Skyrim? Boy, what a mess that...

When tu are a young man, no job, and college is hitting tu real hard with assignments, I say that there is no better place to find games that no one else will play than your local libraries. But regardless, these games are in fact underrated, so it is my job to review them. And what better game to review than an underrated Wii game, seta Men: The Spore Wars.

When it comes to horror movies, tu all know that the one thing that makes a movie for me is jumpscares. There’s nothing I amor más than jumpscares. There is also nothing I amor más than seeing characters go out into the killer’s path even though they could have lived if they stayed put. I amor it. But I also amor monsters just as much. And there are lots of great Hollywood monsters like the Leprechaun, the gorilla with the casco from Robot Monster, the Gingerdead Man, the Goblins from Troll 2, and who can forget the classic Shitweasles from Dreamcatcher? But, I think I know one horror...
