#1 After Rory kissed Jess at Sookie’s wedding, Jess went back to Luke’s apartment and stayed up all night reading The Fountainhead by the light of a lamp, to the annoyance of Luke who was trying to get some sleep before an early morning delivery.

#2 While packing up her apartment after her graduation from Yale, Rory was flipping through some of her old notebooks. In the process, she found the letter to Jess she had started many years ago during her trip to Washington: “Dear Jess.” She decided to finish it.
