Penny Dreadful," Victor Frankenstein confronted his monstrous creation Lily and her new lover Dorian Gray.
Unfortunately, since his creation and her new boyfriend are immortal, the bullets from Victor\'s gun were unable to kill them.
As the young scientist fled Dorian\'s mansion, the two lovers started a bloody dance in the ballroom.
There\'s a good chance that Dorian and Lily could be the villains next year, so check out our list of the three reasons why "Penny Dreadful" fans are hoping the deadly lovers wreak havoc in London!
3. It Will Force The Group To Come Together Again
With Ethan Chandler captured, Sir Malcolm Murray in Africa and Caliban in the Arctic, that leaves only Victor and Vanessa Ives left in London.
If Lily and Dorian start plotting against humanity, it would force Vanessa and Victor to free Ethan from his father.
The two immortals\' plans would also force Sir Malcolm to return home from Africa and help his friends defeat this new threat.
Plus, it would also give Caliban a reason to join the group of hunters and help them in their quest.
2. Victor Frankenstein Will Have To Atone For His Mistakes
If "Penny Dreadful" elevates Lily and Dorian to the status of villains, it will also force Victor to atone for his mistakes.
He will have to tell the group about his experiments and will be forced to confess to Ethan about Brona Croft\'s manner of death.
Although Ethan will be furious that Victor killed his dying ex-lover, at least he\'ll finally know the truth about what really happened to Brona.
Also, Victor confessing his crimes would give his character an interesting arc and help him grow as a person.
Finally, Dorian being the villain for "Penny Dreadful" means that he would probably face off with Vanessa in a fight.
Since Vanessa has discovered her powers, she will be extremely formidable in a fight. Dorian may be immortal, but he is no match for a witch who is the reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian goddess Amunet.
It would also be interesting to see the two ex-lovers face off during battle, especially given that they have new significant others.
