Legend of Korra Fans Demand More Episodes!
Tilda Swinton is my favorite superhero. Follow @TommyLikesStuff.
After a heart-pumping, anxiety-inducing nail-biter of a series finale,
The Legend of Korra fans are demanding more episodes. Korra has suffered through four seasons of turmoil and finally got a well-deserved break, but we just don\'t want to let her get off that easy! For those that have not yet seen the finale, there will be
MAJOR spoilers ahead, so continue reading at your own risk.
Arguably, Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra has been the most successful animation franchise in America. Millions, including myself, have grown up watching such delicately crafted stories that have not only provided us with something to look forward to each week, but have also taught us some of the most valuable lessons of life. Whether it\'d be Uncle Iroh\'s tea sipping philosophies or Team Avatar\'s unbreakable bonds, the morals and emotions evoked by the unmatched story telling abilities of the creators, Michael and Bryan, have greatly influenced the thinkings and moral standards of an entire generation.
The petition goes on to beg for more programming from creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, and you can sign it here.
Although I hate to be a wet blanket here, but considering the history of this show, a revival is pretty unlikely. When ratings fell after a phenomenal season three, Nickoledeon execs began the slow neglect of one their greatest shows. First, they hardly did any promotion during the uncommonly brief three months between seasons. they moved it to the wasteland of Friday nights. Considering how the show skews a bit older than Nickelodeon\'s target audience, this was a strange move to many of us. But that was nothing compared to their next decision to move it off the air entirely and broadcast it exclusively online.
Avatar: The Last Airbender), I am thrilled with how it ended, especially considering my favorite ship of the year, Korrasami, became canon. The finale was appropriately hopeful and reassuring after four seasons of pain and suffering. However, more Korra is always a good thing, so maybe a short is the place to start as opposed to a whole new season. Korra and Asami\'s Excellent Adventures in the Spirit World, perhaps? Uncle Iroh can be their tour guide.
Alternatively, we could get an entirely new Avatar in the same universe, but, again, it would take quite a few signatures to get Nickelodeon onboard. So, get to signing!
Are you craving another season of \'Korra\' or even another show from the same universe?
Yes! I support anything with more Avatar!
No way. They finished the series on a high note, leave it at that.
I\'d watch more Korra, but I don\'t know if I could do a whole new protagonist.
I can get behind a whole new Avatar, but Korra\'s legend has reached its end.
