I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Lucifer season 2 gets trimmed, remaining episodes bumped to season 3
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
‘s second season has been trimmed to 18 episodes, with the four remaining episodes of the original 22 episode order to air in the fall, EW has confirmed.
Coshowrunner Joe Henderson confirmed the news on Twitter on Thursday, explaining that the four remaining episodes are character-driven stand-alone hours that will air sometime during the third season. “We designed this season to be an 18-episode arc because we originally were going to be 18 episodes,” Henderson wrote. “But then we got four more! Surprise! So we decided to create four episodes that let us play around a bit. Dig deeper into the character stories, play with format a bit, etc.”
“We didn’t know whether they’d air this season or next until now,” Henderson continued. “Now we do. So bad news is you need to wait for them. And I know that sucks. But the good news is we’ll have at least 22 episodes of
next season. Maybe 26? Probably 24? Hard to say this early.”
The move won’t affect how season 2 will close. “End of season 2 is still exactly what we planned,” Henderson writes. “And it is crazy awesome, if you don’t mind me saying so.” It also doesn’t sound like the four stand-alone episodes will air at the beginning of season 3 either, with Henderson noting, “We know where they’ll slot in season 3 and how they’ll affect story, etc. They won’t feel very stand-alone because they are so character-focused.”
‘s season finale is slated for Monday, May 29 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. The series returns from hiatus on Monday, May 1.
