TheHiddenCane Not convinced, sorry... I still thoroughly hate the baby idea and I really don't want the melodrama of Cuddy losing yet another child. We've seen that before. And as for the illness... House would either be crippled by his desire to save her or totally disconnected. There's no development after this. There's only Cuddy's hate for removing the baby and House's guilt. Like the Amber Thing with Wilson, Like the Kutner Thing. The theme that has been important this season has been guilt. They, considering House is going to have a breakdown, have gotten everything they could out of it. There's nothing new in this baby storyline. I believe the breakdown this season actually serves to [i]absolve[/i] House's guilt. Why bring it up again? That's old. And it's that or Cuddy dies... so no offence intended [u][i]at all[/i][/u] but I don't see it happening. Hope this makes sense (and doesn't piss you off).

oldmovie I completely agree with THC, I hate the idea of the baby storyline. For all of the reasons she had stated (I LOVE YOUR IDEA ABOUT GUILT!!!) and for a very important one, can't we have a Cuddy storyline that doesn't involve babies? I also think nothing good, or foreward moving can come from Cuddy getting pregnant with House's child. Huddy fans might like it (I'm a Huddy just for the record), but I see it as jumping shark if they can't come up with anything better than the cliche plot lines that will result from her pregnancy. Here's to hoping that Christina from Grey's Anatomy (who I think fits the description better anyways) is due.

rosehustle1  I don't think that Cuddy is the one ausiello's talking about. But if by some chance she is I have a theory how it could work. I think she'll find out she's pregnant but understandably keep it to herself for a while because of House's fragile emotional state. Then the first part of the next season once he's relatively normal again he'll start to notice subtle changes with her physically, little things that he would usually notice right away but missed due to his mental break. But unlike the House of the past he doesn't confront her directly about it. He instead tries to get her to admit it to him through Housian manipulations. Eventually, she tells him the truth but in true Cuddy fashion tells him that she doesn't expect anything from him and she knows it's the last thing he wants. So, they both are in a denial about their non-relationship relationship again. Soon she has to announce her pregnancy because she's starting to show but she makes up a story that she had a short fling with someone she met a few months ago but he's no longer in the picture(which isn't entirely a lie) although the old ducklings and new ducklings all wonder if it is House's kid. Thus, one aspect of next season is House once again coming to terms with what he truly feels toward Cuddy and the prospect of being apart of his child's life. I can see her having the baby and him coming around after she delivers and everyone has already visited and telling her he'll be around if she wants him to, once again putting the ball in her court. All in all, I can see it not being a complete wrong turn for the series or characters. I think it would be interesting for Cuddy to once again lose her control due to the life growing within her and the little one she already has to care for, along with her job. I think it would also be interesting to see House's reaction to a pregnant Cuddy, more importantly, a Cuddy carrying his child. Don't get me wrong I don't see it as the happiest time of Cuddy or House's life. He just got back his mental health and diagnostic mojo and wham another life change hits him. He will definitely act out in strange ways in response to this event which will make for great new insights into his character. Cuddy will be even more stressed because physically she's going through alot and emotionally she's still unsure how she really feels about House. I think there will be an understanding between them but still no real relationship yet. I could see season seven being the year House and Cuddy grow closer because of the baby they share, maybe even becoming better friends because of it and then finally in mid-season eight finally confessing that they do love each other.

lasherricka cool i totally agree with rosehustle1 i love what rosehustle1 had to say we know cuudy wouldnt just spring the pregnacy on house when he is emotionally and kinda phisically not stable.she probably wouldnt tell him at all just because of her pride independence and how everyones reaction to the situation.knowing house will probably get back to normal and he would notice it and not confront her about it directly but he would kinda beat around the bush a little until she tells him.cuddy will try to tell him she doesnt need him in the babys life and he doesnt have to worry about it and house would be stuck in yet another emotionally situation when he himself is very torn on his decision.if something happens to cuddy and his baby it would take him to a place where he would probably try to hide his emotions to try and keep cuddy from worrying and yda yada yada.(my fingers a getting tired so im with rosehustle up there with every and anything she said
