That would not work out because they would just fight alot and nemo does not need that... and he is better with just his dad because he lost his mother.

YES!!!! They are adorable together, and they definitely deserve each other! And where Marlin lacks in humor Dory fills; same thing with memory except reversed.
I'm actually writing a fanfic/crossover where the 2nd generation of the majority of the Disney characters have kids, I put Dory and Marlin together!! And they have a kid named Marinia!! (And, BTW they're all humans... yeah)
I think, since Nemo's in the picture, he would like Dory as a stepmom.

INFO ON CORAL'S ROLE IN MY FANFIC:
Coral is a surfer who dies in a shark attack shortly after Nemo was born.

nah they have a kind of brother-sister relationship and i heard marlin say"i care about you" not i like you and they do get into crazy situations and besides nemo didn't even called dory "mom" or anything which means that dory is not marlin's new wife or nemo's step mom but a friend only a friend

I think it's really refreshing that the writers didn't go pushing for a romantic relationship between the two, and in the upcoming sequel I'm hoping they're going to keep the characters' relationship purely platonic. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a nice love story from time to time, but I don't want too much of that sort of thing, y'know?

But on the other hand I agree with glelsey; I kind of like the platonic relationship between the two, it's cute.

Marlin and Dory after seeing finding Dory have A crazy yet
Mature and responsible and family like relationship
And say things to eachother that shows that they are more
Than friends and Nemo loves having crazy lovable Dory
As his stepmom and Marlin clearly sees it and Dory would
Be lost literally without them

I picked "yes" because they seemed to have a warm relationship with each other in the first movie. And after I watched the sequel of Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, I got a feeling that Marlin's and Dory's relationship grew stronger than ever! They should definitely become a cute couple!!!
