In the año of our Lord, eighteen hundred and six

And our very fine craft, she was rigged fore-and-aft
And oh, how the wild winds drove her.
She had twenty-three masts and withstood several blasts,
And we called her the Irish Rover

Run Run Away

Run Run Away was written por Noddy Holder and Jim Lea of the 1970s glam rock band Ambrose Slade (later known as just Slade). This hugely successful English rock band started in the city of Wolverhampton in central England. American audiences claimed it sounded too British, but the band rivaled the Beatles with its success in England. Run Run Away was one of their later hits, occuring in 1984, and made it into the UK parte superior, arriba 10 and the USA parte superior, arriba 40.
