It was called Producers for CW mostrar 'Arrow' tapped to write super hero's comic book adventures - NY Daily News
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Diyah Pera/Diyah Pera/The CW Stephen Amell as The Arrow on CW network hit "Arrow."
In a case of art imitating life imitating art, “Arrow” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg and series writer/producer Ben Sokolowski have been tapped to write the comic book adventures of the super hero that inspired the hit CW show.
“When the opening came up it just felt like it was a real opportunity to merge the two worlds, the comic book and the TV show,” Kreisberg told the News. “To maybe bring a few fans of the show who don’t read the comics to the comics and fans of the comics who don’t watch the show to the television.”
The dynamic duo will take over scripting duties on DC Comics’ “Green Arrow” with October’s issue #35.
For Kreisberg, a life-long comic book nerd, it’s a dream come true and worth shoe-horning into a busy schedule that also includes executive-producing the upcoming “Arrow” spinoff, “The Flash.”
“I love these super heroes,” says Kreisberg. “My earliest childhood memories are sitting in front of the television, holding a Batman doll watching (reruns) of the ‘60s Batman show.”
In their very first issue, Kreisberg and Sokolowski geeked out over a scene in which Green Arrow’s alter-ego Oliver Queen meet up with another major D.C. super hero.
Garry Brown/DC Entertainment Andrew Kreisberg and Ben Sokolowski – the producers of the hit TV show “Arrow” – take over comic Green Arrow with issue No. 35
He adds that several fan favorite characters from “Arrow” will make their way into the pages of “Green Arrow” -- including Felicity Smoak, the titular hero’s computer hacking helper.
Actress Emily Bett Rickards “was over the moon” when she found out that she was going to be a comic book character.
And then there is this top-secret super villain that Kreisberg is looking forward to introducing.
Could that nefarious baddie make his way onto television?
“You never know,” he says, laughing. “It certainly helps to be in charge of both.”
