John Rolfe isn't that bad, and if anyone fails to remember, Pocahontas chose him not the other way around.

The only reason you dislike him (well the main reason I'm sure) is because of the relationship between him and Pocahontas. I don't like them as a couple, Poca/Smith is MUCH better, but I actually really like him as a character. I think he's great.
