At first, I didn't think so...but after thinking about it a little bit more I realized that yes, it should count as a rescue...she did it in order to spare her Father's life...if that isn't a rescue I don't know what is!

Plus, the Mulan -> Ping scene is epic win and will probably go really far... Might even win!

Well, I sort of think Nostalgia Chick is right...had he been enrolled in the army , he probably would've had desk work. A retired, famous general wouldn't be put on the front lines.

^ Mulan didn't think that. And neither did her dad by the looks of it. He was training to fight when he stumbled. If he'd have fought, he'd have died. Even the toughest soldiers were being slaughtered left, right and centre by the Huns.

@princesslullaby: He was a famous general? I though he was just a soldier that got wounded. I didn't see anything that made it look like he was famous or more respected than the others.

Although I do like the Nostalgia Chick review of Mulan, I did't particularly agree with that part.

All I remember is when Mulan said who her father was, they were like "Fa zhou? THE Fa zhou?" They probably wouldn't be so in awe over a soldier that got wounded. He's certainly probably a recognized war hero.

I would consider it a rescue of sorts, but, in my opinion, it would void the countdown if it's already started.

it counts because he would have probably died. and even though she is awesome, i disagree with Nostalgia Chick for this one. in those times, he would've had to fight. i don't think they would even HAVE desk jobs and they needed WARRIORS to fight the Huns.
