I think Disney should definitely reconsider & change a decision to exclude Princess Giselle from the official list of Disney Princesses.Apart from being played by Amy Adams,Giselle was a cartoon character.That would make Prince Edward a Disney Prince!

Yes,but wasn't she actually the animated/cartoon character BEFORE she became a live action Princess? I mean,Amy Adams had to match a Disney-made cartoon character in real world,NOT the other way around. Or did Disney perhaps created Giselle as a parody?

She was a girl who wanted to marry the prince but she never did. So she stayed a simple girl in the real world. They've never said she is a banished princess.

Besides the reasons that others above me already said, Disney cancelled their plans to added Giselle in Disney Princess lineup as they have to pay royalties for Amy Adams to put her in the lineup, as mentioned from link.

No point, this movie has had its day, it's not a classic and I can't see what there is to be gained from adding Giselle to the line up.
