Not really... I think what's great about her is that she gets the best from both worlds: she has the kindness, the innocence and the sweetness of the Classic Princesses with the proactivity, the wish for independence and the adventurous spirit of the Renaissance Princesses + Tiana.

Eh, it depends, Still, I've seen lots of characters like her in the movies.

The entire movie was too carefully constructed but Rapunzel by far the most. Even her "flaws" feel contrived, more informed than shown and meant to make her likeable, not rounded. Idealized is one thing, but the character is all but forcing the audience to find her a charming, sympathetic role model that kids would want toys of.

^I agree with your opinion. Just because she's the first 3D and the tenth princess also 50th WDAS movie??? Disney is playing too safe.
