She doesn't deserve the attention she gets AT ALL

I see way more Ariel haters, then Belle so i don't know how Ariel is always first in these kind of polls.

I don't get why everyone loves Punz so much. Belle's overrated too but I kinda get why everyone likes her. Ariel's haters have dragged her down, I don't think she's overrated anymore.

Ariel's haters are really critical of her constantly, way too much for her to be overrated. On the other hand, Belle is pretty much constantly praised and it's only really recently that more people have stepped out to say they don't like her.

Ariel is overrated too, but I understand more why people love her. She's the most charismatic of all the princesses. On the other hand, I like Belle, but I don't entirely understand why she is so popular. I suppose it's partly because a lot of people feel that they can relate to her.

Ariel has her haters. I think it balances out. Plus, Ariel is a very human, flawed character. She's nowhere near my favourite, but I can still get why she's loved. Belle on the other hand, EVERYONE loves her. When you don't like her, you risk the danger of getting freaking scalped. Seriously.I don't get why everyone likes her. I think it's because a lot of people fool themselves into thinking they're like her just because she has a common appearance and she reads. Spoiler: you're not. Belle's personality is actually pretty rare. Next would be Rapunzel, she's pretty boring when you think about it. Nothing new.

I don't get why is she so so popular, she has some good actions (and some stupid) but I think her personality is really common and boring. Again nothin' special.

Ariel is so overrated...Belle is too,but she has better personality and character,so she deserves more the attention she gets.

Ariel has plenty of haters that constantly express their hate towards her and in a pretty aggressive manner, whereas when it comes to Belle god forbid anyone to come up even with a slightest bit of constructive criticism and not be eaten up for merely stating a critical or negative opinion of her. In addition to that, Belle is being praised constantly for qualities and traits that other princesses have as well such as being intelligent (and in all honesty Belle's intelligence is one of the most contrived things I've ever seen in a Disney movie because reading and re-reading romantic novels does not whatsoever define you as an intelligent person), being supposedly misunderstood although her outcast status is just as contrived as her intelligence because we are constantly being TOLD about it and rarely shown, bravery - although other princesses proved to be much more brave on way more occasions than Belle did and yet those other princesses don't get nearly enough praise and credit for any of it whereas Belle tends to almost be worshipped for things other princesses did better. Plus she gets absolutely no character development at all, remaining the same from start to finish of the movie and not facing any significant struggles on a psychological/emotional level other than ~ changing a self centered morally corrupted male in a cliched, unconvincingly rushed manner. I like her and I love BATB as a movie but she is definitely and without any doubt the most overrated princess.

There's no reason that it's NOT obvious that Beauty and the Beast is Disney's most money-making film. (to say it bluntly...) Also...what does this do with...haters?

@Ribon95 Mulan always gets voted into the top three, one time she even beat out BELLE. She's the only princess that everybody seems to like. So yeah, I can understand why someone would call her overrated.

Ok, I don't hate her, but I think her personality is nothing special. She's very egoist in my opinion and I don't like how she acts...
