Orihime loves him, but she herself has admitted (like thrice) that she's jealous of the relationship Ichigo and Rukia share, besides she's acknowledged that Ichigo doesn't feel for her (Orihime) the same way she feels for him. I think it's also obvious that the things Ichigo does for her, he does them also for any of his friends, he's never acted special towards her. That's mostly the reason why I don't get why IchiHime fans say they are romantic, when it's clearly friendzoned...if it was romantic, then Ichigo would be in love with Chado, Nel and all the people he helps. He just protects Orihime because she's his friend, nothing special, he doesn't even remember her unless she's in peril.
On the other hand, Rukia is clearly more than a friend to him (Kubo himself said it). She means so much for him that he thought of her in order to activate his fullbring power (that shows how afraid he was of losing her, for all the delusional ones who said he only missed his powers...why not remembering Zangetsu, then?), also manga 49 poem (Ichigo for Rukia) is very insinuating: "I wonder if I'd be able to keep up with the speed of the world without you in it". Rukia is the only one able to rise his spirit (every time they reunite, the mere sight of her face makes Ichigo stare at her like a dummy, also looking at her made him stop crying), Ichigo has said that she made the rain stop for him and that she changed his world. That's something I like to call the Rukia Effect, because as Kubo-sensei said, she's his ray of light.
Because of that and lots more of things (this would go extremely long), Rukia is the only woman for Ichigo, the one that makes him feel better, the one that understands him, the one that he feels the same for. Because what they share is mutual, whatever you wanna call their relationship, it's something both feel the same for the other; unlike IchiHime wich is obviously one-sided.
Now my personal opinion, I think Ichigo and Rukia are now in love or otherwise they are about to, because the manga is pointing out strongly to it. It's just that romance is not the focus, so probably Kubo-sensei wants to show just what's necessary for people to understand.
Orihime’s so-called stupidity is Anime only. In the manga, she is actually the second smartest girl in her class, placing third in the class tests behind Ryo Kunieda.
Rukia is more naive than Orihime. She easily falls for traps when Kaien Shiba is involved. Arrancar 9: Who took Kaien’s body, uses it like a weapon against her. She falls for it like a lamb being led to slaughter. Like Hinamori, Rukia is a sucker for a pretty face.
Orihime is not so naive. People think because she left with Ulquiorra she’s stupid. In fact, that was a good move. If she battled, she would have died. We see how Ichigo acted when Ukitake said Orihime might be dead in Chapter 238. Ichigo would have raced to Hueco Mundo either way. Fact is, this bought Soul Society a little more time than having her die. If she had died, Ichigo would have died as well. Nobody to bring him back from the dead other than his hollow. His hollow would have completely taken over without her there. You think he would change back for Rukia’s sake- hell no. He had already promised to keep Orihime safe, not her. Ichigo’s transformation into Vasto Lorde is based on the promise he made to Orihime.
Rukia deserves Ichigo because she changed his life? All she did was open his eyes to the world of the Shinigami. He already attained those powers because of his father. It was already in his DNA! She changed his life by giving her powers which awakened his own. After that, Ichigo came into contact with the Hogyoku through Rukia’s gigai. That awoke the hollow within and made him a vizard.
Because Ichigo’s tainted power kept freely leaking out, Orihime and Sado were affected. In a sense, like Rukia changed Ichigo’s life, Ichigo changed Orihime and Sado’s lives.
What it breaks down to is that in the beginning, Rukia was the main female character so fans think she gets dibs.
Everything after chapter 183 to about chapter 354 is focused on Orihime and Ichigo’s relationship and her rescue. Even after the rescue, Ichigo thinks about her - Chapter 379 - and this is after Rukia is no longer in the picture. He doesn’t think about Rukia in the same context as he does Orihime.
I have nothing against Ichiruki fans- some of them even admit that the story is really Ichihime! Just certain ones that are blinded by their fandom to see the actual truth bug the crap out of me. I don't even care what fan fic authors write about, I just see Ichi X Rukia as a crack pairing, I like Orihime x Renji pairing for fun. There is nothing wrong with following a certain pairing, I just hated that live journal mishap that tried to say that Ichihime is an epic fail when they obviously only saw what they wanted to see.

Also, Rukia trusts him like no one else does. She never doubts of who he REALLY is and doesn't get confused or scared no matter how he looks like. She knows who he really is.
Even Toshiro recognized (in the Fullbring arc) that Rukia was special because though the Shinigami who went to Karakura knew Ichigo, they had doubts but he said Rukia always trusted Ichigo. Which is obviously a way that Kubo uses to show us that Rukia and Ichigo indeed share a bond, a unique, TRUE and special bond. No matter how many people try to deny it
Listen, guys, you can present all the "evidence" you like, it doesn't make a bit of difference. Love doesn't work on the basis of logic in all cases, and frankly I don't think there's anything more or less logical about Rukia or Orihime ending up with Ichigo. In the end, it's likely neither will. One of the few things Kubo's made very clear is that he doesn't want Bleach to turn into a love story, and I believe him. So I agree with BP - neither and none.
